Superheroinefilms’ DNA Disaster features one thing in particular that superheroine fans should immediately find appealing—the lead actress, whom you probably know best as “Angel” from Next Global Crisis. That’s right, playing Superwoman is Ms. Anastasiya Breadson, who, as usual, looks terrific in her costume.
The movie begins with Superwoman showing up at the apartment of one Dr. Jones. She has apparently been working with him on a project that will “help a lot of people.” We are never really told what that project is, and truthfully it’s not really important. After a little flirting, Superwoman flies away (in a nice job of special effects work). However, Superwoman has left something behind—a piece of her hair. Dr. Jones discovers the hair and gets the bright idea to clone Superwoman. Yeah, this probably won’t end well.
A few days later, Superwoman returns to Dr. Jones’ apartment, but she is dressed as her alter ego, reporter Amanda White. The best part of this scene is the skirt that Anastasiya wears. It’s basically so short I’m not even sure there was any point in her wearing it at all. Dr. Jones starts acting a bit crazy and wants Amanda to leave. We soon found out why when Superwoman’s evil clone reveals herself. I don’t think “clone” is actually the proper term. The two Superwoman look nothing alike, but as you might suspect, the actress who plays the evil version of Superwoman is quite beautiful.
There really isn’t a fight scene to speak of. No punches are thrown. The girls push each other once or twice. The good Superwoman does a spinning transformation into costume and gets a big dose of heat vision to the face for her trouble. She collapses to her knees and gets choked out. That’s really it. End of film.
There are several things to like here. Great looking actresses, great looking outfits, and solid special effect work. However, there was a perfect setup for a great superheroine fight scene and for whatever reason the producers did not take advantage of it. That was disappointing. Maybe next time.
On a more general note, Superheroinefilms tends to cast incredible looking actresses and dress them in terrific costumes. On the downside, however, they have an altogether unreliable release schedule. They never seem to release films when they say the will, if they ever release them at all. In any event DNA Disaster may lack action and features almost no peril, but it stars Anastasiya Breadson and features some nice special effects shots.
