“Battle of the Supers” from SleeperkidsWorld

SK SKVSS 1 175x98 Battle of the Supers from SleeperkidsWorldIt may be somewhat surprising that work of Sleeperkid has never been featured at Heroine Movies before, but that changes today as we look at Battle of the Supers starring Sumiko and Keri in a wrestling match with superheroine elements.  Check out the details below!

Quick note from HM: I just wanted to mention that while this video—as with most or all of Sleeperkid’s work—features virtually no special effects and consists of a very simple, straightforward battle filmed virtually in real time, it totally works for me.

I’m a big fan of special effects and high-end production values when done well (e.g., Zen Pictures), but videos like Sleeperkid’s prove that as long as the producer understands the appeal of the content (in this case, wrestling + superheroine fetish) it is possible to make a great video as long as the energy and passion for the material are there. If you like the stills and description for this video, you won’t be disappointed.

BATTLE OF THE SUPERS

Starring KERI and SUMIKO!!!

After Super-Sumiko claims that she is the ONE true heroine in the city, Super-Keri steps up to meet her on the mats. After a brutal back and forth battle, the powerful Keri prevails, revealing to the cameraman that she was simply “pretending” to lose for a while just to keep things interesting. A sudden chunk of kryptonite saps Keri’s energy as she suddenly realizes that the whole challenge was a trap! The truth becomes clear a bit too late, however, as she slowly fades into unconsciousness from the green shard’s effects.

Here’s the breakdown:

(each round ends with a pin and victory pose)

round 1: Keri attacks with multiple belly blows, a snap mare, and a sleeper hold KO.

round 2: Sumiko attacks with an enzuigirl kick reversal, followed by a cape chokeout KO. She removes Keri’s cape after the win.

round 3: Keri snap mares Sumiko with the use of her cape, removes cape, and attacks with several body slams, followed by a three punch/uppercut combo that KOs Super-Sumiko!

round 4: Sumiko reverses a clothesline with her own, followed by belly blows, kicks, a snap mare, three cartwheel splashes, and a final RUNNING BULLDOG KO!

round 5: Sumiko reverses a wall splash , nails a belly buster on Keri, but gets nailed in the gut by Keri’s knees after a failed splash, leading to a tombstone that gets re-reversed by Sumiko, leading to a TWO girl KO!!! Round is a draw!

round 6: Sumiko goes for a piledriver but Keri reverses it, nailing an INVERTED piledriver, followed by a regular piledriver KO, a tombstone KO, and a final sit down killer driller tombstone KO!

Final Kryptonite KO ends the match…

I love everything about SleeperkidsWorld. I’ll pick this one up.

  2. SG Fan

I’ve gotten quite a few SKW superheroine videos or clips, and I’ve just about loved all of them. My favorites have to be the Collector series, especially Collector 6. Great fight between Serena and Alex which features probably the best SK kryptonite weakening scene IMHO. Much like was said above SKW doesn’t feature any real special effects and earlier on fancy costumes, but they do the genre so well mixing in the wrestling flawless so that one doesn’t distract from the other. And with the collection going full download its easy to get vids.

My recommendations, The Collector, Collector 6, Collector 7, Collector 10, Super-Serena vs Wonder Honey, Wonder Vivian, Collector Story 3, Super-Natasha vs Sapphire just to name a few

  3. billbo

Love sleeperkids stuff. What happened to Shan and Jessle??? Along with Serena they are my favs.

  4. Chris

I used to be a huge fan but the business has passed them by in my opinion.

  5. Sumiko Rulez

@Chris: How exactly has the business passed them by? I’ve been a fan of SKW for over 10 years now and I’ve seen nothing but growth within their fanbase and product. I was very happy to see their work praised here , and I must say that they are currrently my favorite wrestling/combat company currently in existence.

Grr. Sorry about the rant, but naysayers that don’t back up their claims are a pet peeve of mine.

  6. Chris

    1) I said in my opinion.

    2) I am bored of their fights. Too simple and the choreography is extremely weak. It used to be enough back in the day, but now its just way too predictable. But like I said I was a big customer up until about 5 years ago and they were really good at that time and I am impressed you’re still around.

    3) Is this Sumiko from SKW?

  7. SleeperFan

Definitely agree with the note from HM!

Does anyone remember when SleeperKid was just a fan who would “share” catfighting and female wrestling images (and initially at least focusing on sleeper holds) on various free web hosting sites? That was his “start” on the net. He was constantly forced to migrate to different hosts because somebody would complain about infringement. All he really did was collect images that were freely available and in the process give some free advertisement. (And most of the images he had back then would qualify as a medium-sized thumbnail these days LOL.)

He’s definitely improved over the last five years. Sure, his stuff is repetitive. It’s essentially apartment catfighting, sometimes with a storyline, sometimes with costumes, sometimes with both. But in the last few years, he has Paris Kennedy, Diana Knight, Cali Logan, to name a few, do work with him. Additionally all of his clips from the last few years are 720p. Resolution isn’t everything. SK vids show almost no signs of compression or artifacting. His camera work has gotten better. His lighting is perfect. If you wait a month or so, he will usually have a decent gallery of images to preview for any vid. He always give a text description that tells you how the vid unfolds. And best of all, his pricing, like Pro Style Fantasies, is reasonable. All of his SKW stuff is strictly PG-13, and he seems to have been very very successful at what he does.

Some of the stuff Heroine Legends puts out looks interesting, but at $40 for a 30 minutes for their new episodes–count me out, especially since they crank out so many of them. I don’t want to get hooked LOL. For the cost of “season 1,” $150 for 13 episodes, I would prefer to buy a lot of blurays on sale at amazon or bestbuy. (Seasons of Smallvile now on sale at BB for $20 on bluray, for example.)

  8. Sleeperkid is da man! Yes I remember that period of time sleeperfan… and yes I remember having his website book marked and checking it everyday just incase something new was posted. I remember a small email exchange with him long before I got into making movies and I asked him if he would add this or that to the next one. He was very nice and did my request and made me very happy….

Even when he converted to selling stuff long ago he still gave away TONS of free stuff and previews. I made several purchases from him back in the day and loved all of them. His style is very distinct and clearly he knows exactly what he wants when making a video. Sleeper Kid is a perfect example of someone who has not only passion for what they are making but also has the fetish for what they are making. This will always ring through to the fans far more than someone who doesn’t have the fetish that is trying to make a buck.

He is one of the originals and has my respect!
    Long live Sleeper Kid!

  9. Chris

I agree that Sleeperkid is one of the originals who really pushed this genre forward in the early goings. Can’t deny all that he has done and the passion he has. I purchased many videos from him and enjoyed almost every single one. And before that I was seeing random videos from him on youtube, it was the best thing around!

I’m just saying that other producers have evolved their product and stepped it up. I don’t want to make it sound like I am hating on the guy, so I’ll stop.

All due respect to sleeperkid, i hope he’s not reading this thinking i am disrespecting him in anyway.

  10. Gorleser

I love Sleeperkid’s work. I’ve been a fan since I would sneakily look on computers at my school’s lab in the late 1990’s through every incarnation of his websites (he had the worst luck for a few years with his websites being deleted or his ISP’s going defunct, or his youtube account being flagged).

I admire SK for putting women on his site who are basically normal looking women, because he glorifies and empowers them with his work.

I appreciate Chris’s comments– like his work at this point or not, you can’t help but respect him.

  11. Sumiko Rulez

I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s noticed SK’s work.

@Chris: I am not Sumiko, but she is my favorite female wrestler at the moment.

I think what we have to consider, first and foremost, is that Sleeperkid made it onto this page without actually being solely a superheroine material producer. If SKW strictly produced SH content, I would agree that it seemed underwhelming compared to the other amazing stuff represented here, but the fact is that SK produces almost EVERY kind of fighting video under the sun. He never stuck with a single sub genre, and for that I am thankful. I have enjoyed everything from his mixed wrestling vids to his pro style ring fights. Even his ninja vs sentry stuff is interesting and at times wildly entertaining. He has done shower battles, “exhaustion” battles, sleepy fetish stalking material, karate fights, mat grappling, and more, and he has done it with some of the most amazing actresses and models in the business (most of which ONLY seem to work at SKW), all while attracting tons of actual seasoned pro wrestlers to his roster. I mean, damn. I just watched Angel WIlliams on TNA not too long ago only to see her wrestling Sumiko at SK’s site that very night. lol

Lastly, Chris: Your claims of SK’s choreography being weak and predictable is what really got me. As seen in the video referenced by this site, these girls are pulling off moves that most wrestling companies either won’t touch or execute poorly. Body slams, piledrivers, suplexes, punches, kicks, leg drops, massive power finishers, etc. So I have no idea where your claim is coming from.

Once again, I am glad to see others support the man’s work. Long live SK, and well, Sumiko too! lol

  12. Chris

That’s fine, I don’t want to really extend this longer. SKW is good at what he does, and he was a huge part of what made this genre explode on the internet a decade ago.

And the reason why I asked that question was because I had a HUGE crush on Sumiko for a while hehe. I loved the video with her in the yellow bikini vs Sleeperkid many years ago, I still have it.

  13. Sumiko Rulez

@Chris: I’m glad we could finally agree to disagree until we agreed.

    SKW for Life.

  14. Maar13

I think than maybe we see other producers with better effects and other stuff and see as things has passing SK by, but the reality is that this will put SK on a light he is not really part of
Yes if you go with a producer dedicated to one thing you find better stuff but most are dedicated to only that. With SK is different because he is all over the place and has such a variety of girls that comes from indy wrestlers like Angel Williams and Rain to models you wouldn’t expect at all amdake things look good. Have seen the evolution of the guy and he is good. Do I find some others more attractive in each gemder? Sure but like I said, The great thing about SK is the variety and I am glad to see the guys continue to produce material for the fans.
