Double Trouble Wrestling has released a new video that might be of interest to fans of superheroine peril combined with wrestling content. Christina vs. Diana & Darrius Part 1 is very thin on plot and story elements, but features a lot of wrestling (female vs. female and female vs. weird armored creature) involving Wonder(ous) Woman, played by Christina Carter and her arch-nemesis played by Diana Knight.
There really isn’t much of a story at all in this video. Basically, Diana Knight wants to make Wonderous Woman “pay for all her insolence,” apparently by arranging an unfair wrestling match between Wonderous Woman and Diana Knight’s favorite thug, played by Darrius. That’s about it. Diana Knight instructs Darrius to “show her the true meaning of humiliation.” Then she laughs maniacally for a long time. (The funny thing about Diana Knight is that she’s always believable in these roles. As I watched this video, I honestly believed that she found all of this to be genuinely funny.)
Soon, Wonderous Woman arrives and delivers a short soliloquy about how she’s looking for her superhero friends who have disappeared, apparently after arriving at this very location. As she “wonders” aloud why she’s been summoned here, Darious appears behind her, grabs her by the neck, and leads her to a very conveniently located wrestling ring that happens to be about five feet away. He tosses her into the ring and begins his assault, using a variety of punches and holds (for more details about specific moves, feel free to contact DT Wrestling!).
The match is pretty even, with both fighters going back and forth, but with Darrius dominating most of the time. Wonderous Woman defeats the beast, and soon after, Diana Knight enters the ring and transforms into an evil Wonderour Woman outfit. The second match begins between these two sworn enemies. Christina Carter’s Wonderous Woman dominates the majority of this match.
That’s Part 1 in a nutshell, but judging from the short preview images at the beginning of this video (and the image available here), things are going to take a dramatic turn for the worse in Part 2 for poor Wonderous Woman. I plan to review that one as well, so check back. In the meantime…
