Heroine Legends’ Cast of Shadows: Ground Zero 2

Heroine Legends' Cast of Shadows: Ground Zero 2Heroine Legends has just released Cast of Shadows: Ground Zero Part 2 which is a terrific follow-up to the well-made premiere episode. It’s heavy on martial arts action with plenty of material that will please fans of fight-fetish material. Check out the review below.

In her civilian garb, the absolute knockout Celestia, shows up at the park where many fights in the HL universe have taken place. If I was a heroine I would probably avoid that park at all costs because things rarely seem to go well there.

She is confronted by two goons and uses some fancy air calligraphy to change into her revealing costume. After a nicely choreographed battle that includes some good special effect work, Celestia smokes her opponents. Literally. After she defeats them they turn into smoke. Something I liked about the battle was an editing choice that was made. Celestia was having an energy battle with one of the goons and the editor did a split screen of the two combatants. It kind of looked like a comic book panel, not unlike what Ang Lee did with the first Hulk movie. Boy was that movie bad. Not Ground Zero, the first Hulk movie.

Anyway, the big wrestler guy from previous Heroine Legends films appears out of nowhere and we get a type of fight scene that many people on the board have been looking for. One where a heroine takes on a larger, eminently stronger opponent and I think it was the highlight of the film. Celestia connects with her best martial arts blows which have little to no effect. The big guy dominates the fight until Jane (another absolute babe, no surprise) shows up and assists Celestia.

The two girls work together and take their opponent down. Jane leaves, but Celestia soon discovers that the big guy wasn’t as defeated as she thought and we’re left with a particularly brutal ending to the fight that I won’t spoil. As far as you fetish fans are concerned, there are low blows, bearhugs, throat lifts, a bevy of stomach punches and some good strangulation scenes.

I thought this was another strong episode and I’m looking forward to the upcoming conclusion. I like the cast, especially the big guy who has a great physical presence, but also has displayed some serious acting chops. Good work all around.

    two things:
    – what is meant by “unmasking attempt”? don’t need all the details, just a sketch
    – i think i’m gonna wait for some kind of 3-for-cheap deal with these ground zero films. the first two both look great, but thirty bucks a pop (i guess 27 after the discount) is just a touch too much for the yak…

@yak: just to clarify your concerns:
    1) unmasking attempt is where the villain tries to take off her mask but right before that happens, she gets away and the mask stays on.
    2) the Cast of Shadows./ Ground Zero episodes are priced like normal episodes, but filmed in a group for storyline purposes– hence the $29.99 price tag. We have begun offering bundle packages on our website for those who are looking to buy a few in a specific group and get some savings. We will be offering “Ground Zero” for $79.99 as a bundle in about 4-5 weeks. After VIP discount, it would be an $18 savings. Just a side note– the feedback for the “Ground Zero” films has been amazing! For those who have seen the 3rd part already (cast and crew), we are excited to release all 3, but must go according to some schedule. “Return of the Black Queen” also turned out exceptionally well 😉

Logan, just wondering if the actress who plays Thorne is available for customs?

  • Sep. 29, 2012 at 1:17 pm

@Mark: The actress who plays Thorne is available, but she is in high demand at the moment. We’ve had a lot of people take advantage of the promotion this week and that’s awesome because we can keep filming!!

Just a side note for those who are requesting customs: The actresses who play Destiny and Brittany are unavailable. Also, the customs (at this rate) are subject to actress approval–

Thanks for the response Logan. I take it from this that it’s best to try again at a later time then?

  • Sep. 29, 2012 at 3:54 pm

@Mark: if you want to take advantage of the promotion, it would need to be this week. T this time, we only have the promo up for the remainder of the week since we are losing a lot of capital by doing this. Our intention is to get a few small films from this that may have a bigger impact on our views and to try out a few different ideas when filming. The promo allow for SuperHeroine related customs but has limitations on certain fetish types because of the cost of actresses. I interested, send a custom request on over!!

@Logan – Unfortunately I’m travelling at the moment so can’t take advantage of the offer but I am seriously interested in shooting a custom (love to see Thorne vs a Drone). When I get back home I’ll drop you a rough outline and see if it’s possible!

@Mark: No worries! When you get a chance, contact us at info@HeroineLegends.com – I’m interested to hear about your custom!! Thorne vs SITA– we should be able to make that happen!!

@Logan – Further to our above correspondence, just wanted to let you know that I’ve now sent you an e – mail message in regards this, as I’m still not sure whether I’m having problems with my account lately!

    Thanks again!
