UPDATED! Heroine Legends’ “Return of the Black Queen 4”

Heroine Legends Return of the Black Queen 4UPDATED with review! Heroine Legends has introduced the fourth installment of the Return of the Black Queen series. Like its predecessor, this episode seems to feature a lot of foot-related content, but there’s a lot of heroine-fighting action as well. Check out images and a trailer below.

Heroine Legends is back with the final episode of its Return of the Black Queen storyline. Before we get to the review, I need to make a little disclaimer: I have not seen the middle episode of this series. So without a total understanding of the storyline, my review will center much more on the action than the plot. With that out of the way, let’s move on.

When Part 4 opens, The Black Queen is still acting like a total douche bag. She beats up the old sensei guy then turns her attention to Halo (not to be confused with the upcoming game). The character Halo is played by Katie McCabe, which leads me to another disclaimer: Katie McCabe is a fox and a good actress as well. Somehow, I glossed over her in the premier episode. It won’t happen again. Through the use of a reverse bearhug, a low blow, a throatlift and an energy blast, the Black Queen makes short work of Halo. Back in her swanky home, there is some more foot fetish action, although Thorne seems to be trying to fight off the Black Queen’s possession.

The Black Queen takes telekinetic control of Halo’s body, pins her against a wall and whips the heck out of her. More fighting ensues as well as a little more foot fetishy action before the movie ends with a surprise. Spoiler Alert: The villainess is triumphant. At the end of the film, Evil Thorne has seemingly subjugated or destroyed all the good guys. With this being a custom, I don’t know if this storyline is a true part of the Heroine Legends universe or not. Maybe Logan can straighten that out for us.

Finally, a Heroine Legends related request and a question.

1. More Katie McCabe please.

2. Not many projects that I’m looking more forward to than the Vega storyline. When will that be out?

that low blow at 21 seconds in the trailer looks AWESOME! Are there any more in this video? Thanks in advance!

Whitman – Yes, there are other low blows in this video. I believe they are all Female to Female too!

Sidekick – Our fans will be seeing a LOT more of Halo in the “Heroine Legends” universe as she is absolute pleasure to work with and is extremely talented!
As for “The Demon Within”, we are still in post production and the editor is working on getting us a first cut ASAP. We are hoping for a release in mid-November but don’t have a firm date just yet. We are all very excited for these episodes as well and can’t wait for our fans to see it!

Valugi – First off, thank you for being a fan. Unfortunately, we are no longer affiliated with the actress who played Tempest but we are looking to recast to continue her character. We are excited as well to release “The Demon Within” and can’t wait to hear your feedback from it!

Just picked this up! Full disclosure: I bought this entirely for the low blows listed.

First off, the Black Queen is one of the hottest, most well-casted antagonists this genre may have ever seen! She’s impossibly sexy, and her fighting chops are also great; she REALLY sells the fact that she loves to inflict pain, and I’m DEFINITELY going to buy any other movie in which she gives (or even receives) low blows from another heroine. Seriously, the low blow featured in the preview immediately became one of my all-time favorite low blows, and trust me I have seen PLENTY. Also, the production values are top-notch. Love the sets, the costumes, and the FX.

However, the protagonist in the green costume isn’t that great. She smiles self-consciously during a few key scenes, and doesn’t really sell the low blows very well. I LOVE your work, HeroineLegends, and a little coaching to these girls getting low blowed would help tremendously (for instance, if you get punched in the groin, don’t hold your inner thigh, hold your groin!)

All in all as I said, though, this is more great work from one of my new favorite producers. Keep up the great work, guys! Keep that Black Queen fighting dirty!

Hi there – I have to ask… do you have a trailer in the works for the demon within ;)?

  • Nov. 8, 2012 at 5:01 pm

@Whitman: We’re glad you found this film enjoyable! :) We’ve received so many responses about how to do low blows right that we just mix up all the reactions now– because everyone has a different take on how they should be done (reactions, hand placement, etc)… We plan to have the Black Queen return in a standardized Heroine Legends film soon!

@MO: There is a “The Demon Within” trailer in the works and will be out next week for you guys to see! A post is coming soon regarding the launch date a teaser shot of her emblem along with our current sale! πŸ˜‰ Stay tuned!!

So, I am guessing a lot of people are wondering this, but how come the Demon Within was delayed? I am guessing it was something pretty major considering the announcement on the webpage only came like a day or two before the release date – HL have always been great at keeping to their release dates and it leads me to think they are having serious issues. Logan, hope you can shed some light. Also, I dropped you an email the other day regarding a custom – did it get through?

  • Nov. 18, 2012 at 2:38 am

@mantower: regrettably, yes– we had/have a serious issue with our editor. Long, boring story short: the editor had a deadline of last Monday and returned the footage with a movie file that did not work. In short, I don’t have a final cut to sell. We are in the process of determining which editor we will be giving this project to now. It was pretty visual effects heavy so we need someone who will edit it properly. Fortunately, we have all of the footage back so we can move forward, however, this will cause a 2-week delay which I am extremely unhappy about. Needless to say, this person is no longer affiliated with us. The delay will affect the next few films which will also be delayed– the next one in line is “Path to Darkness” which will feature Allura as both a Heroine and a Villainess and show why she became the way she is. Until we can release “The Demon Within”, we won’t have the capital to film the next film. Major set-back. I did receive your email– I apologize for the delayed response. With this huge problem, editor interviews, and finishing filming of our mainstream comedy feature film, I’ve been a bit overwhelmed. I will definitely get you a response very soon as soon as I can give your email the proper attention it deserves. I will be working as quickly as humanly possible to get this film out to you guys and I’m sincerely sorry for its delay– not that it matters, but this editor was the same reason “Return of the Black Queen” had a 2-day delay.

OK, that’s exactly what I had suspected, it is a shame when you get people so crucial to your project stuffing it up as it leaves you high and dry and I am sure that for such a small production company can have catastrophic impacts on your business plan – I run a small business as well so I know how ‘small’ setbacks can have absolutely huge repercussions, the epitome of the butterfly effect. Anyway, good luck in sorting it out and my email is lowest priority, get to it when you get the time and once you have your ducks back in a row. It really isn’t a rush.

  • Nov. 18, 2012 at 2:59 am

@mantower: it’s extremely unfortunate– especially when you have higher hopes and plans for certain people and they falls short of your perception of their potential. We will move forward as we always do– this certainly isn’t our first hiccup along the way. I don’t like fans feeling the effects of the behind-the-scenes mishaps– it negates the customer experience we try to set forth. Your email is a priority to me which is why I want to answer it attentively. Small businesses are definitely a 24/7 effort to keep them running but we have big dreams here– hopefully to bring “Heroine Legends” in some form to international theaters! πŸ˜‰

Sorry for your woes, Logan. It is better to get it right, than to suffer with substandard people or products. You have set the bar high already, so I for one will wait patiently to see the results. “More power to your elbow!” as we say this side of the “Pond”.

@Aldous: We finally have it all sorted out. Unfortunately, we had to let someone go in the process, but the movie is on it’s way to you guys!!

@Derek: Thank you for your kind words! You’re absolutely right– I can’t deliver a subpar product. Especially with our first Supergirl-based character and film! I’m excited to see this film put together as much as you guys are! :)

Any low blow to the black queen?

  • Jan. 28, 2013 at 12:05 am

@insxch: to my memory, the Black Queen in these films only delivered low blows; she didn’t receive any…
