The movie is now available. I’m going to download it as we speak but wont be able to write a review for a few days.

  • Nov. 13, 2012 at 6:36 am

    $30???? That’s insane. Honestly even 25 is a lot

I know the producers gotta make their money but c’mon, $30 for a 30 minute home made video essentially?

As much as I loved the first one, ill pass

  • Nov. 13, 2012 at 10:40 am

probably a matter of hours before i break down and buy this… it looks better than “liberty and justice for all,” but i’m a little bummed that the emphasis once again seems to be on punishment (at the expense of peril). plus… where’s the belt? there has been a real sad lack of belt-antics in bpd’s lg videos. still: alex david, exotic locations, prolly will be great.

Does any one like to see a heroine actually be a heroine
(and a super one at that “superheroine”)
Is this the same Liberty Girl that beat up 4 creeps an episode or two ago ?
2 videos ago I really though Liberty Girl was making a break through
now she worse than when she started
shes starting to look like an abused housewife
wheres the fantasy in that ?
Cant a girl win a battle or two before humiliation ? ! ?

  • Nov. 13, 2012 at 12:26 pm

So, to anyone who has bought this and the past liberty girls… Is there any fondling in this one? its obvious that there is fondling in the previews for 1 and 2 but no sign of it in these trailers…

  • Nov. 13, 2012 at 2:02 pm

I bought it. It was okay. It was kind of an average video. The story bounced around and wasn’t very coherent. Beautiful outdoor scenes and lots of gorgeous backdrops. The price was a little steep. It should have been $20, not $30.

  • Nov. 13, 2012 at 2:16 pm

Shakeshift, any chance you could spoil the ending? Does it end on a down note? If it does, I might buy it someday.

  • Nov. 13, 2012 at 5:27 pm

It ends with Liberty Girl just fine. No death, nothing like that.

    She gets liberty, not death.

Liberty Girl beats Cain in a fair fight, then her mother chops his head off. The final shot is them standing side by side watching the sun set.

  • Nov. 13, 2012 at 5:33 pm

I’m sorry, but there is not way I can take this seriously at all with that guy wearing that little kid knight mask and trying to act cool. I get Bane was a popular villain this year, but if you’re going to try an imitate him, at least make his costume better.

  • Nov. 13, 2012 at 8:49 pm

You guys are a little hard on BPD. The fact that this video was shot outdoors for its entirety is really quite amazing. At one point you have two superheroines and four villains squaring off on a Pacific beach. That *has* to count for something. I’ve never seen anything like that in recent memory. And I have to admit… Oregon is beautiful. The shots are quite lovely. Who doesn’t love Alex wearing a WW costume on a beach somewhere, stabbing villains with a big-ass sword? :)

Like I said, my only real gripe is that it should’ve been $20, not $30.

  • Nov. 13, 2012 at 10:05 pm

I haven’t this yet, and I’m undecided whether to buy it or not at the $30 price. I kind of agree with Shakeshift, if this was priced at $20, I’d be all over it. I understand, though, that the maker of the video has to make a profit. For those complaining about Liberty Girl not wearing her belt or not looking super before taking a beating, remember that this is the third chapter of a trilogy. The end of part two makes it quite clear why Liberty Girl is beltless and without powers in this one.

  • Nov. 13, 2012 at 11:00 pm

But about her belt, in the last two videos her power source was her bracelets and no her belt, personally i like to see wonder women type of heroines with a belt as source of power, so in this one her belt is her source of power again?, but she never retrieved or something?

  • Nov. 14, 2012 at 2:16 am

The belt is her power source in this one. The vid starts with her getting her ass kicked by Bain with no powers to speak of. Some decent moments. She wakes up and is contacted by the Amazon Queen via telepathy. The Queen informs her that she’ll have to pass some trials to earn back her power items, but just for shits and giggles leaves her tiara nearby to get her started. Why she doesn’t just give her all her power items at the outset is not explained, even though the Queen clearly needs LG to save her ass.

LG tries to crawl to her tiara, which is hot, and finally gets it. With the apparent power boost, she is now able to walk again and go to her first test. She wanders into a clearing and gets attacked by vines which grab her arms and legs and do nothing else. Then, Death shows up and whips her all over for a while.

She moans and whines a bit and the vines eventually let her arms go so she can fall to the ground, where she lies face down and keeps getting whipped. After a few minutes, she makes an angry face, probably when she realizes that having her hands free means she can use them to catch the whip, meaning she just got abused for like 2 extra minutes just for being dumb. She rolls over and catches the whip, but when she yanks on it– instead of letting go– Death goes flying and sits there dazed, so she strangles him with the whip and he disappears. Having thus proved her strength, the whip turns into her lasso.

While this is happening, the POV jumps back periodically to the Queen, who has royally run away until she’s cornered on a wide open beach with no where to go expect into the water, up the beach or down the beach. Naturally, she chooses to make a stand, though she seems to know full well that she’s outmatched. Bain and his gang of laughing hyenas show up, and while they stand there giggling, he whoops her ass.

Meanwhile, back in the woods, LG stumbles across her belt randomly hanging from a plant. She grabs for it, but it’s not of this world and her hand passes through it. Then a disembodied voice zaps her and tells her about proving her endurance by getting zapped by an invisible Tesla coil for a while, and then getting hit with a different colored invisible Tesla coil that makes her want to cum. This is the extent of the sexual aspect of this video and why I am so completely disappointed.

Again, she bitches and moans for a while while taking it lying down (literally), and is informed that if she wants to prove her endurance, she has to spread her legs while getting zapped, or otherwise the zapping will stop and she won’t get her belt. I guess the logic is that the invisible zapping tool doesn’t fit between her legs if they’re closed, and can’t zap her in the pussy from any other angle. Regardless, the scene amounts to her lying down by herself pretending to be hurt, and then lying down by herself slowly faking a climax. Once she’s finished, her endurance is proved in a way that no half marathon ever could, and the disembodied invisible zappy voice thing tells her she can have her belt.

In the next scene, after stopping to change into more of an Amazon warrior costume (off screen), she shows up to talk shit to Bain, who has been beating on the Queen. The useless goons who have been wandering around with Bain laughing all the time die dutifully in the first scene where they do anything. None of them swings or lands an effective attack, so don’t go expecting a nice Zen pictures experience. There is a VERY minor back and forth with Bain, but she pretty much just beats him, and her Royal highness gets up out of the sand she’s been laying in and says Bain is hers to kill. There’s some pointless banter about mercy and she gives him the guillotine experience. Then there’s a little ending sequence where nothing happens and LG and the Queen chat some more.

Overall, I’m very disappointed. The scene at the beginning was the best, but it doesn’t get explicit at all. Just a beat down with some decent camera angles. About the editing/filming, I’m not an expert by any means, but even I could tell stuff needed work. There were some continuity issues within scenes, like people facing the wrong direction without time to turn around. The picture was generally too white or bleached looking, as if film overexposed. The audio, as in the whole LG series, is almost completely uncompressed, so you go from barely hearing someone talking to getting rocked by Foley fx that sound like they’re from Street Fighter II, to LG screaming into the camera in her face. I even heard clipping a few times. Just setting the levels properly on the audio equipment so they don’t clip (even if it’s just the camera) will make a big difference. Throwing mix bus compression on everything before adding soundtrack will help greatly, too.

However, those are just random nit-picky suggestions that wouldn’t matter a bit but for my major disappointment (which may not be disappointing for some): the final showdown with Bain. What a perfect opportunity for the heroine to come in strong, killing the three goons with no effort and feeling completely powerful and in control. To get her ass handed to her by Bain there, and wind up with her pants around her ankles again would have been so hot, and I really expected something like that to happen all the way to the last minute. I couldn’t believe it didn’t. I’m all for building up the story aspect here, but dammit, this is a fetish!

Everything that was needed was there: hot actress, the right style of villain, great location, hot secondary heroine. It could have been brilliant! But instead, it’s like being hungry, going to the store, getting all the perfect ingredients together, starting to cook and saying, “Aw, fuck it, I’ll have a Power Bar.” What a let down!

I’m not saying don’t buy the film. Think of it as NGC without production value. It’s got its moments. Just don’t go expecting the punishedheroines style epic-ness that I did after the first and second installments delivered. This was a change in direction, but I’m sure bpd will make more good stuff in the future if enough people buy to keep him in business.

  • Nov. 14, 2012 at 10:17 am

Thanks for the descriptive review. Def won’t be purchasing now but to fair wasnt going to anyways. $30 is just too much but more discouraging is it seems the momentum built from episode I has fallen off a cliff.

I’m curious to see what BDP has next. The first LG vid was awesome, if not my fav SHIP ever, but the amazing girl video was weak and this one sounds really bad. So was the first LG vid a stroke of luck or a sign of more great vids to come? I hope he/they recapture the magic soon

  • Nov. 14, 2012 at 4:49 pm

I wouldn’t say it was bad, he just went in a different direction without telling us. I think that he wanted to make it more like a 3 part story with the conflict at the beginning, more obstacles in the middle and a resolution at the end. I was disappointed because I thought he was making a heroine peril/porn flick, a heroine peril/porn flick and a heroine peril/porn flick.

  • Nov. 14, 2012 at 6:02 pm

Hey saxman – I quite enjoyed your review. It’s honest, and pretty funny. I agree with most of what you wrote, but I wasn’t as disappointed with the video as you. I mostly chalk that up to the actress who plays LG. I think she’s one of the best actresses in the genre, and she saves this movie with her performance. As for the price – 30$ is steep. I ponied up based on the strength of part 1. Unfortunately, neither parts 2 nor 3 have lived up to that promise.

  • Nov. 14, 2012 at 8:49 pm

Based on what I heard, this one has same issue as part 2 – this “secondary heroine” thing. We are not talking about 2 hours movie here, just for under 30 minutes, can’t we focus on liberty girl herself?

  • Nov. 14, 2012 at 9:49 pm

    Thanks for the review.

I’m considering buying, but to be convinced, I have a few questions to those that have seen this clip.
First, let me state that I don’t care much about the story, whether she loses or wins. I’m into brutal beat ups, which by the trailer seems that this clip is.
Having said that, will this video provide awesome beat down of LG (at least for a good bit)?

  • Nov. 14, 2012 at 10:18 pm

I’ve finally got a few moments to chime in here. I’ll start by saying that in case you didn’t know, I’m a big fan of both bpd and Alex David. I thought saxman’s review was hilarious and pretty spot on, except that he made a point of highlighting negative things about the movie while seemingly not seeing any of the good in it. So he’s obviously disappointed, and I totally get that.

I kind of feel like it’s a little rude to post a full synopsis as saxman did of the movie from start to finish without the producer’s consent, but I guess that happens enough on this website as it is so I could be out of line. Also I understand that many of us want to know what we’re getting before we spend the money, and $30 is toward the high end of the price scale for these videos. Personally I don’t mind spending a little more to get a quality product from people who have given us consistently great content in the past.

I thought the series took an unexpectedly cinematic turn in this third installment, between the beautiful outdoor setting, the orchestral score, the dramatic conflict of Liberty’s home island in peril, and the mechanic of her overcoming tests of character and physical endurance to grow stronger in order to be the hero and save the day. This is all well beyond the scale of her foiling the schemes of a drug lord or beating up thugs in a dungeon. Is it tied to the other two movies? More like looking through a sketchbook. It reminded me of the final season of LOST, where a lot of things came together kind of out of nowhere in the tail end. I wouldn’t normally put a heroine peril film under such scrutiny, but by being so ambitious, they kind of ask for it. So, on the one hand, kudos for upping the game to this level. It’s an ambitious work, and for what it’s worth it’s pretty awesome – reminding me at times of Stormy Tempest.

The problem I guess is that people weren’t expecting Stormy Tempest. From a peril standpoint that I and many of us come from, the first movie was dark, exciting, and very sexual. There were many low blows, lasers to the crotch, groping, and rape. I mean this first movie was obviously chock full of fetish fan-service, but it was done in a very artful cinematic way. The second movie was basically more of the same content but also included a second heroine and an AOH scene, and then indulged itself in a long scene consisting of giant crotch ray-gun fetish that was hit or miss depending on who you talk to.

This third film still devotes plenty of time to fetish content – this time around it’s a lengthy whip scene followed by a lengthy crotch lightning scene. There is a fight in the beginning that has a low blow or two but it’s brief. My disappointment comes from the fact that I’m not terribly interested in the whip or the lighting, but that’s a strictly personal preference, and I appreciate that they wanted to try different perils to appeal to the different fetishes. That being said, I still enjoyed these scenes because of Alex David’s performance. On that note, I thought she was at her best, and if you want a spunky defiant heroine, look no further. She really nails it in this film.

Saxman touched on the exposure / color cast that permeates the entire film. The film has either a blue-ish or green-ish color cast and is pretty much consistently overexposed (or it’s possibly due to the color effect that detail is lost i’m not sure). I understand that this was done to give the island an ethereal quality and make it look cool, and I think it does that just fine. However I’m going to be frank and admit that part of the enjoyment for me is drooling over Alex’s hot bod, and it’s frustrating to have all the shots over-exposed. I could care less about the audio glitches, but the exposure thing does bug me.

@ ximi time spent on the second heroine, the island queen i think, is quite minimal. I would have liked to have seen her sexually abused in some way, even a low blow, but luckily for her I was not on the committee, and her lady parts are spared.

I would have loved a dark ending, and as saxman stated it would have actually been quite powerful given the set-up, but this just isn’t that kind of movie. This is about the triumph of the heroine, and the ending has a very unabashedly girl-power feel to it, which is the exact opposite of what customers like me would have written. I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt and say that they wanted to end on a high note for a beloved character (played by the person who wrote the screenplay no less), or leave the possibility open for future Liberty Girl movies.

Here’s my two cents: It’s a well conceived and ambitious project with a beautiful product. It has many elements that we’ve come to expect and love about this series. Personally the first of the three is still my favorite. It was the most Liberty Girl / sex centric, and it was the darkest. From a fetish standpoint, this third one seemed the least personal, possibly due to the remote-control-ness of a whip or a lightning bolt, and the lack of a climactic peril scene at the end – replaced by a climactic heroic scene.

It’s confusing why so many of these producers that start out in superheroine fetish want to move on and emulate Hollywood. Years ago a certain producer had movies like a superheroine getting strangled to death by a steel chain while the producer was filming her exposed pussy. Now? He’s left the game entirely to move onto making slightly sexier versions of movies that have already been made. But at least he’s up front about it. No offense but us peril guys don’t come to you guys for Hollywood, we already have Hollywood on our TVs and in our theaters. We come to you for the stuff that Hollywood is afraid to do. That is what sets you apart and therefore that is your real unique value to us. Otherwise we’re all just simply fans of underground superheroine movies, and that just doesn’t seem very likely to me.

  • Nov. 14, 2012 at 10:27 pm

Sorry for my rant and I hope I didn’t offend anyone. I don’t think I need to point out that even us peril guys appreciate plot and character development as it makes the peril more engrossing. I’m just saying there needs to be balance.

  • Nov. 15, 2012 at 1:32 am

I laid the whole thing out in detail because I did NOT get the impression from the official description that this would be so different from the first LG film. I agree it was a good flick for what it was trying to be, but what it was trying to be was completely out of line with my expectations, and I’m sure I’m not the only one.

I didn’t focus on the positives in my review, partly because I was disappointed, but mainly because the positives just increased the let down. Alex David is very good at her role, and fine as hell. The location was great. The super strong male villain who relishes in dominating a heroine: fantastic! That’s what it’s all about. Then to take all that and not execute… jeez. To be fair, I’m the same guy that first said “greatest of all time” about the first vid, and my thoughts about Alex David’s LG character are in that thread, too.

  • Nov. 15, 2012 at 10:17 am

Good action and acting! Props to Alex David!
Why the blue tinge to the outdoor scenes? It’s like the camera was set for indoor shooting with incandescent light.

  • Nov. 16, 2012 at 2:13 am

Woof… looks like I’m taking quite the beating.

@Sam B The color treatment for this film was a conscience artistic decision on my part. There is a BTS clip on my blog that shows what the original footage looks like. http://abpdfilm.blogspot.com

To everyone else… Thank you for your honesty.

  • Nov. 16, 2012 at 10:20 am

@ bpd, i imagine you must feel similar to what George Lucas felt – to spend all that time and effort and make an incredible follow-up only to have the fans bitch you out because you set the standard so high with your initial works.

  • Nov. 16, 2012 at 6:21 pm

@decendingskulls Except Lucas has large amounts of money to console himself with. 😉 It does make me question whether I should even be doing these films but fans will be fans. I’m a fan of stuff and I get being let down by something. Personally I like this film a lot. It’s probably my favorite of the three.

  • Nov. 16, 2012 at 7:13 pm

I think that the concept was strong and the effort quite good. Perhaps, should you be open to it, you might have a script competition for the next video. Seems as though there is a lot of quality to be found in the videos, and all that is needed is a tweak or two.
Another idea might be to post a rough outline of the script here and have fans add feedback/suggestions.
One last suggestion/request I have is to use Hannah Perez in the role of the WW character. She was amazing in the first of her roles as WW, and even better in the most recent one. I don’t know if it is permissible to use the same actress for a similar role, but she makes one hot WW character!

  • Nov. 16, 2012 at 10:16 pm

I watched this again, and I have some thoughts. This is mostly a lazy attempt at button pushing without having to sweat the hard stuff. There are scenes and lines stolen directly from other movies. The whipping and zapping scenes go on forever and just rely on the actress to react, along with some simple effects. She’s really good and pulls it off, but it’s one take stuff. The hard part, the actual fighting scenes, are few, short and far from up to the standard of the first movie. As much as I love watching this actress play this character, I feel ripped off by this installment. Starting now, I’m going to be much more careful about where I spend my money.

  • Nov. 16, 2012 at 10:38 pm

@bpd, just remember the old saying, you can please some of the people some of the time, but you cant please all of the people all of the time. just keep doing what works for you. by no means am i saying don’t listen to the feedback, just take from it what you feel will work for you. :-)

  • Nov. 16, 2012 at 10:59 pm

:” bpd Woof… looks like I’m taking quite the beating.”

    Think about this
you are only taking a beating because
Liberty Girl one was an excellent film, a break through film ,a great film
instead of rehashing a Liberty Girl II & III video in the same vein
    you went bigger and bolder
and thats nothing to be ashamed of

  • Nov. 17, 2012 at 11:00 am

To echo Joe Customer’s good point, I think the bar was set quite high after the first installment (one of my favorites). Am still planning on spending money on bpd videos, though I would really like to see what could be done with Hannah Perez in the lead role (and apologies for the repetition; it’s just that it has been a while since she has taken on the WW role).

  • Nov. 17, 2012 at 6:13 pm

+1 I’ll still be buying your vids. The first and second ones were great, and the first is one of my all-time favorites, with maybe two or three others on that list. It was the change in direction that killed me. The domination and sexual aspect were all over the first video, and almost non-existant in this one. Watching her get zapped by an invisible thing does not do it for me like seeing her dominated by a more powerful villain. Honestly, the domination– sexual domination– by a more powerful villain is the entire fetish for me, so you can see why this video did very little for me after the first ten minutes.

I work in a creative field, too, so here’s some more unsolicited advice: listen to your critics, apply what you agree with, and disregard the rest. At the end of the day, you’re the one who has to live with your product, and if you like it, someone else will. From my perspective, this was more of a marketing issue than an issue of the quality of your video. I just totally expected something it wasn’t.

  • Nov. 18, 2012 at 3:07 am

Any chance there could be an ‘alternate ending’ version in which she loses? I’d be all in then!

  • Nov. 18, 2012 at 7:57 am

Descending skulls makes a great point about this genre “going hollywood” this is not a comment on BPD, but of one just in general on the SHIP genre itself. For all the talk about the “gold age” of SHIP, i rarely find a TRUE quality fetish superheroine film anymore.

For example, NGC produces great stuff, but it is basically a TV show in terms of content. There’s nothing hard-core or fetishy about it. As Descendingskulls noted, even Rye has stopped making real fetish vids. Of course these producers can make whatever they want, its a free country, but I guess I’m saying for my tastes and for what I like, i’m disappointed in whats being offered lately.

for my money, old school punishedheroines and superheroinecentral were the pioneers and still reign supreme in this genre, regardless of any production values or whatever… and sadly we are getting further and further away from videos with that true fetish content, where the heroine gets completely violated and humiliated.

  • Nov. 18, 2012 at 6:26 pm

Hear hear! Just look at the ancient sooperhero.com vid “Millenia” or the old “Thrust Girl” series on shc. Production value at sooperhero was never good, and shc has always been saddled with ridiculous voice-overs and terrible slow-mo, but the core content was right in the pocket.

  • Nov. 18, 2012 at 11:05 pm

@ darklord and saxman314, I very much agree and yes I was speaking of the genre generally. Sadly, while the content that most closely suited my taste was being released, was when both PH and SHC were producing what would today be considered low-res video, even while SHC had higher production values than PH at the time, Dan-O was still limited to the video equipment of the time, and PH during this time was all-around basically as low-budget as you can get. But to echo what you’ve both basically said, those older videos still rule in terms of content geared towards us. As I’ve watched producers get more high-res equipment and put more money and talent into the productions, and meanwhile as MANY more newcomers have entered the fold, these same productions have moved steadily away from hard-core. Could be more of a coincidence of timing than a direct correlation of course, but it’s still damn frustrating :)

  • Nov. 19, 2012 at 7:16 am

One theory I’ve always kicked around my head is actually this site… As much as I love it bc it helps advertise what is out there in one central place, there’s been an obsession with “production values” and fight choreography from day 1 here (both with HM and many of the fans)

But then again producers like ngc have been successful so maybe that’s what the majority of people want???

For me, this genre has been dying a slow death for a while tho. Very sad. I’m tempted to repost these thoughts on the next popular thread to see what others think.

Also when people read hard-core they think I’m talking about sex. When really I just mean the overall “mood” of the video. For example Alex may be the last guy doing somewhat hard-core material but even his vids have a slight air of humor/campiness. What made old school ph and shc great was that the heroines life and virtue were at stake. It just felt more “raw” and hard-core. Sex or no sex.
