With Exciting Heroine The Brave Girl – The Crisis Version, Zen Pictures didn’t even make an attempt to tell an original or engaging story; instead, they simply decided to pack in every peril and fetish element that they could imagine. Does that make it purchase worthy? Let’s find out.
Since there isn’t much of a story to review, let’s first list the type of peril and fetishes that show up in this video. You have: a dominate heroine, displays of invulnerability, display of super strength like bending a steel pipe, a test of strength, a goon lifted off the ground by his uniform, displays of super speed, a heroine in her civilian clothes tied AOH, a heroine in her civilian clothes fondled, up skirt shots, super breath, metal chain breaking, several minutes of kryptonite weakening, a heroine grabbed and pulled by her hair, more up skirt shots, a heroine chained up, stomped on, throat lifted, bearhugged, punched in the stomach, bitten, a shredded costume exposing the heroine’s chest, a backbreaker, a heroine wrapped up like lights around a Christmas tree with a strand of Kryptonite (yes, really), a Kryptonite ball gag (yes, really), and electro torture. I apologize in advance if I missed anything; they were coming fast and furious in this one.
So, what is the plot all about? Pretty simple. It starts out with three goons picking on a guy with a suitcase. I was waiting for whatever was in the case to play a part in the plot, but no, that’s the last we see of it. Brave Girl shows up and beats down the goons in a well-choreographed action scene. Next, we learn that Brave Girl is a reporter in her other life, and she goes to the bad guys’ hideout and finds a man’s body lying on a table. I can’t be sure if he’s dead or being experimented on, but we never hear or see from him again. I don’t know if this opening sequence was Zen Pictures being lazy or if the briefcase and body may play a significant role in a sequel, but rest assured, they are of no importance here.
Brave Girl, still in her civilian clothes, is spotted by the same three goons she beat on earlier. She lets them capture her, tie her up and fondle her. I have no idea why she lets this happen. There is no logical reason why she would allow herself to be sexually assaulted as she could have escaped at any time, but it’s Zen Pictures, so I’m not all that surprised. She finally breaks free, beats on the goons a second time, and comes face to face with the head bad guy, a scientist.
She corners him in a room when he pulls out his trump card. You all know what I’m talking about since it happens in about 99% of Supergirl-type peril videos—Kryptonite. They tie her up for a while, place a kryptonite necklace on her, and force her fight the big sumo wrestler guy that appears in several Zen Pictures videos. She is beaten down, tied back up, and tortured for a good 20 minutes. She fights the big guy a second time and is very much on the receiving end of another beat down, but is able to win in he end. That’s it. The ending of another Zen classic.
Brave Girl is played by Saki Kanou and she is gorgeous. She is a good actress and plays the helpless heroine very well. If your a fan who is big into storylines, I probably wouldn’t recommend this because the plot has been made many, many, many times by many, many, many other producers. I pretty much guarantee you have seen this story before. However, if peril and a multiple range of fetish material is your thing, this could be your Citizen Kane.
