Side Mission 2 from Next Global Crisis features a new Bluebird costume, an intense f-vs-f fight scene, and a surprise I won’t spoil in this review. I enjoyed this side mission more than the first one, and I’m really impressed with Claire Yellowlees’ performance in particular. [Read more…]

Next Global Crisis has returned with a new season, new episode, and newly revamped web site. I won’t spoil anything in regards to this particular episode, but if you haven’t seen Episode 9 from Season 1, you might want to check that out before reading this review. [Read more…]

UPDATED with review! Do you feel like it’s been too long since you’ve seen a Training Room video? I have some good news for you then: Next Global Crisis has just released the 17th episode in the series, and it features fan favorite and all around hottie Bluebird. [Read more…]
Episode 14 of the Training Room series has just been released, and it features two of the most popular heroines in the Next Global Crisis universe—namely Bluebird and Angel. I thought it was an especially good idea for the NGC producers to have these two particular heroines fight things out. In my opinion, these two actresses, along with the actress who plays Suki Deluxe, are as good as the genre has to offer. They are all wonderful performers and, as a bonus, happen to be stunningly beautiful. [Read more…]
Next Global Crisis has just released Training Room 12. This particular episode features the return of Powerstar, who is the first heroine to ever appear in a NGC video. Her opponent is Bluebird, a character that fans will recognize from several of her previous training room appearances. Personally, this is one of my favorite training room episodes, and I thought that it struck a nice balance between action and moving the NGC storyline forward. [Read more…]
By now, if you’ve seen any of the previous eight Training Room episodes from Next Global Crisis, you have a pretty good idea of what to expect—a short (and appropriately priced at under $12) fighting bout between two opponents, with really high production values. However, I have to point out that in my opinion, the fight choreography and editing in this particular episode is the best I’ve seen from Next Global Crisis, and some of the best in the genre (perhaps outside of Japan). Training Room 7 might be my favorite episode of the series from Next Global Crisis. It takes the now-familiar formula of placing two characters in a room and having them participate in a practice bout. This episode, however, features a couple of interesting twists that make it, in my opinion, more entertaining than a few previous episodes. There are also instances of humor that keep things interesting. The actresses look good, the fight is very well choreographed, and I think fans of NGC will really like it. [Read more…]
The fourth episode in the Training Room series from Next Global Crisis features Bluebird, who previously fought in Training Room 2, facing off against Shadow, a male opponent who is a former member of the Special Forces Division of the British Royal Navy. If you’ve seen previous episodes of the series, you know what to expect. Training Room 4 focuses on a back and forth battle between a male and female with neither side truly dominating (although the male in this case has the upper hand most of the time). [Read more…]
Training Room 2, like its predecessor, keeps the storyline to a bare minimum and focuses on the most basic elements involved in a superheroine fight scenario. While there aren’t really any significant plot twists or an examination of character motivations, there is enough of a focus on staging effective fight scenes, very good acting and excellent visual quality to make this short video worthwhile for fans of female-on-female superheroine fighting action.
