[Adult content warning] In many ways, Giga Freeks (a.k.a. Akiba-Web) is the mother of all superheroine peril web sites. Quite simply, Giga and its sister sites Zen Pictures and Zeus Web consistently offer the best production values in the genre. The company simply puts a ton of money into their productions (relatively speaking), and that—combined with the passion its creative team instills into almost every video—places Giga at the very top of the heroine peril mountain. Z-GIRL features a sexy Asian heroine searching for the source of power behind the evil Demon King. After locating the Demon King’s secret base, she encounters a group of guards who pose no problem for her. Her battle with the Demon King, however, is much more of a challenge, as the Demon has set a trap for our heroine and seeks revenge!

Giga strives to cover every possible iteration of superheroine peril, and they leave no stone unturned in doing so. Herione Tentacle Insult Vol. 5, as the title indicates, is all about tentacles, which seem to comprise a very popular fetish, particularly in Japan. (At least, that’s my impression—the first time I encountered such an idea was in a Japanese anime, though I don’t remember which one). In any event, Heroine Tentacle Insult Vol. 5 features the beautiful Rina Himekawa, one of Giga’s most prolific actresses, up against several bad guys, including one who uses tentacles. From the “better late than never” files, here’s a review of Heroine Body Blow vol. 2 from Giga Freeks (aka Akiba-Web), released way back in 2004. I bought this on DVD many years ago and recently re-watched it for old time’s sake. As the title indicates, this is a very specific, specialized video focusing almost exclusively on punches to the heroine’s body. There’s no overt sexual stuff* and no other forms of torment. The bad guys just really, really enjoy punching the heroine in the stomach.

Zen Pictures has released a new heroine film for download, titled “Idol VS. Tentacle Alien – Asteria’s Chronicle.” This is another of the company’s films dealing with a tentacle creature. It is rated for the 15-and-older crowd, as it is probably more sexually graphic than some of the company’s other movies (although probably still not sexually explicit like the films from Zen’s sister company, Giga for Freeks.)
