The fourth episode in the Training Room series from Next Global Crisis features Bluebird, who previously fought in Training Room 2, facing off against Shadow, a male opponent who is a former member of the Special Forces Division of the British Royal Navy. If you’ve seen previous episodes of the series, you know what to expect. Training Room 4 focuses on a back and forth battle between a male and female with neither side truly dominating (although the male in this case has the upper hand most of the time).
The episode begins as we are introduced to Shadow, who in my opinion, looks truly insane. He looks as though something has gone truly wrong in his head, and now he wants to take out his anger on someone. However, I found the character to be surprisingly reasonable towards the end of the episode, so I guess looks can be deceiving. We then meet his opponent, Bluebird, making her second appearance in the series.
The match begins with Bluebird throwing some wild punches, and then landing some successful blows. The tables soon turn however, and the back-and-forth battle begins. Sometimes Bluebird has the upper hand, and other times, Shadow gains the advantage. The fighting is well-choreographed with good acting, and the two fighters occasionally try to egg each other on with one liners.
Eventually, Shadow ends up with the upper hand and beats down Bluebird. Given his menacing appearance, I expected more of a beating, but then again, Next Global Crisis tends to avoid excessive violence in its videos, focusing instead on fight choreography and good technical quality.
