“Area of Effect” from Next Global Crisis
Sonica is pleased with herself, she has managed to turn an agent from fledgling anti-heroine faction ‘Equilibrium’ to her side and goes to a meeting point where she expects to receive a very important weapon.
Unfortunately, her turncoat agent does not arrive. In his place is Equilibrium leader Shiva Derecha and he is in no mood to bargain. His maniacal style holds no fear for Sonica with her Sonic Scream, but she under-estimates his Power Sink weapon at her peril. Soon the Mistress of Sound is in the fight of her life as Shiva plans to make an example of her, culminating in a completely humiliating ending. Can Sonica get past this foe, or is her career going to take a dark path?

It’s probably recency bias because I just re-watched this one, but I’m not sure I can recall an NGC heroine getting as soundly pummeled in two videos in such a short span of time as Sonica has in AoE and Redstone (I didn’t see Sleeper Cell :\ I’m assuming that didn’t go too well for her either) The way the actress sells the punches in this one is absolutely amazing and there are so, so, many punches that put her on her lovely derriere. Excellent movie ! Everything is well done, filmed and played, great and very expressive performers ! I love the unmasking scene, and the alternate end. Sonica is gorgeous, excellent actress ! This issue is great, and I hope for a sequel !
While I won’t say this is the best vid they’ve done (I still think ‘Welcome to Forever’ is tops), this comes mighty close. Sonica just gets a pretty epic ass kicking, and it’s a sight to behold. Her struggling to get up multiple times after getting punched in the face were great, and I really liked how she tried to use her scream after getting injected, but couldn’t quite get it out (they did something similar in her championship appearance against Myanna). So I can see from all the previews that she ends up KO’d and tied to the wall there, but do we see her actually get knocked out or is it one of those quick cutaway to black type situations that NGC has done to me in the past lol
She gets knocked out a couple of times. On the floor knocked out a couple of times. They a few other times where she’s near knocked on on the floor barely moving. Most of the video after the de-powering is her knocked out or almost knocked out.
Sonica has some of the best legs I’ve ever seen.
This is one of my favorite NGC videos ever, and Sonica isn’t even one of my favorite heroines. That was a hell of a beatdown. The part where he kept picking her up just to floor her again with one punch was great. The number of times she got toppled and ended up helpless on the floor just waiting for him to continue the beatdown, also great.

Just looking at these pics makes me want to see a NGC championship between Sonica and Deceptress. A battle over who looks better in a leotard!

Bluebird and Spectrum will probably always be my two favorites of NGC, but I gotta say, Sonica is starting to work her way up into my “must buy” favorites. The costume change and her improvements have both been fantastic. I am looking forward for this release!
