Based on what had been previously posted, I would be surprised if something would be released before July of next year if ever. They need financing. Patreon did not work out as a vehicle for funding. I am not confident that Kristina will actually continue with her project.

BTW, I forgot to mention and in case you do not want to scroll down, I indicated while there was promise to the film, I was quite disappointed by its very short length and even shorter fight scene of about three minutes, especially after much hyping over several months. I can’t complain as the video was free.

Hi everyone! Sorry I’ve been so mia, I had a lot of things fall into my lap (good things) so I’ve been a bit busy 🙂

I know I mentioned a little while back about jumping on as a consulting producer with a fellow SHIP company and then never spoke about it again. Sadly, even after 2 years, I still have an enemy who actually contacted the company and told them insane lies and to fire me and bring them on instead. We began the consulting, but only did 1 meeting prior to their filming their first episode. Luckily, the company knows the situation and decided to stay on board with me and bring the incident to my attention with the message included. It’s sad that 2 years later, I just can’t seem to get away from the conman.

Either way, the company, Ultimate Superheroines, shot their first episode with minimal guidance from me and I feel it looks great for right out of the gate! They should be releasing soon so I urge you all to check it out! I referred some of my talented cast and crew to the episode and I feel they did a great job! I am jumping on board in full throttle after they get their first episode released and some feedback from the fans. I’m so so so beyond excited to get back into the genre as well as on these forums with you all!!

We are still ironing out the exact involvement details, whether Omni will be a part of it or just myself as Consutling Producer, but either way, I’m back and I very much appreciate all the love and support you all have given me through the craziness and appreciate you taking a closer look to make sense of what was really going on.

I am moving out of LA to get away from the situation for a bit, but will still be very much involved in production etc 😉 Stay tuned and keep your eye out for Ultimate Superheroines, the producers are really great and are very honest and hard-working individuals 🙂

I received the email regarding the Kickstarter Campaign. I take it that we will not have the pleasure of seeing a new video for some time to come (well into 2017?). Very unfortunate as Kristina has a winner on her hands.

Jacques – Yes, I want to make sure we have all of our ducks in a row before we move forward. I don’t want any delays in post etc when we dive into the actual season. Right now, I was told YouTube said they are not monetizing any violent videos, so we may have to figure out another avenue for release for our season. Lots of things always changing, so we need to make sure we always have a plan in place

Finally got around to watching this: loved it! Excellent choreography. One thing I’d like to see: Kristina, I’ve been a fan of yours for years, and you do low blows so well. Any chance of seeing a few cheap shots in future fights? Seems like the perfect nitty-gritty move to use in a no-rules brawl. Otherwise, A+!

Whitman- Thank you!! We will probably have some as it would fit well with dirty fighting

It was rather darkly lit. Hope they won’t all be like that. Enjoyed the film though.

I liked the lighting for the mood and the fight scene was pretty good. Tiffany/Amanda has a good emotive face. Looking forward to hearing about/seeing the other characters’ and the story’s development.

  10. Spandex Fiend says:

Wow, I’m a little mixed on my first take of it. I enjoyed it, but it wasn’t what I was expecting so I was also a little disappointed? I’m not even sure that’s the right word for it. I liked the pace, the storytelling, and the acting. The plot seemed well put together and it left me wanting to see more of it, thanks to a tiny bit of a cliffhanger. So, like I said, I liked it.

At the same time there was something that I didn’t like about it. I can’t exactly put my finger on it, perhaps it was the lack of superheroine costumes? I dunno, though. I felt like it had all the right elements, but something was missing. I saw your comment about the “realistic” fight scenes and that might be what it is. I’m almost as big a fan of fight scenes as I am of spandex. 😉

I’m kind of thinking that the fighting was like what we saw with The Superheroines. It’s good, extremely good, but it’s no where near realistic. This had that dark, realistic vibe, and maybe that’s where my disconnect is coming from. I know for a fact that a Hollywood headbutt would knock out the person performing the headbutt (or at least daze them) as much as it would the other person. That’s what Heather does with her opening move. A forehead-to-forehead move that’s not realistic at all. If she’d grabbed Kelly’s head and dragged it into the top of her (Heather’s) head then that would be a more correct form. The top of the head is the hardest part of the head, which means Kelly would have probably broken her face on Heather. =P

I’m actually so tall I can’t perform a headbutt because you do need to use the top of your head, and it’s not logical for me to bend over like that. Anyway, that’s all about the headbutt, but there are other things. If I punch someone in the face, I might break my hand.

If any of the characters are supposed to have training, perhaps look into that particular style? I was…somewhat, trained in Krav Maga, but there are tons of different martial arts out there. If you’re going for a more realistic look, it might help to have different styles.

Even still, there were parts of the fight I liked. It had a scrapper sort of feel to it, especially with Heather. Basically trying anything and everything that came to mind to win the fight. But someone that’s not trained may tuck their thumb into their fingers (thinking about characters) and break their thumb on a punch. I’m just thinking, and writing as I go. Again, I kind of latched onto “realistic” fighting and ran away with it. I try to offer suggestions if I’m going to complain about something, as well. And it depends on how realistic you want to be.

The fight itself was performed pretty well. I liked the impacts and sound effects. I liked the reactions from both Kelly and Heather (that is Kelly Kula, right? Or am I getting her mixed up?). I liked a lot of things about it, but it didn’t feel realistic. And the more I think about it, I think that’s kind of what took me out of it just a little.

Then again, I’m a bit of a fight-nerd, so I might be the only one. 😉

    • Omni Rising Productions says:

As the series progresses you WILL see the different fighting styles. From this, Heather’s character is a street brawler as she has been on the streets and knows how to defend herself (you will learn this in the Director’s cut I’ve decided to edit and release) and Kelly Kula’s character is ex-millitary (which you don’t know yet) so she is more precise (hence the kick in the end). With the feedback I’m getting, it seems as though everyone wanted more character development which we had initially cut from the released episode because we weren’t sure people wanted that. With the Director’s Cut, I’ll be releasing an extended first scene (not too much extended, but it does dive a little deeper into some character development).

As for the fight – you’re actually the only one whose saying it was unrealistic so far as people have been saying it was almost too realistic. lol I can’t win, but totally appreciate the feedback either way!!

      • Spandex Fiend says:

Thanks for the reply! That’s pretty cool about the different fighting styles. Fair enough on the realism element. I’m one opinion and you definitely have to go with the majority of what you’re hearing. I did forget to mention that I loved Amanda’s reaction to having to kill someone and then literally having a gun to her head and still not wanting to do it. You see her break a little bit and she does it. I think that was an excellent bit of writing, directing, and acting. That could have easily been oversold or under sold and it was done just right. I really enjoyed that part.

I really liked that the mood was dark and the lighting reflected that. I liked a lot, and I feel like that might have gotten lost with my last post. The Hollywood headbutt is probably just a pet-peeve so I’m hyper-critical of it when I see it in films…and actually get to talk with the producer. ;P To be fair, I’m also hyper-critical of car accidents in movies where people get into a fender bender, but movie-physics dictates that the car launches into the air, rolls over several times, and then blows up. =P

Anyway, I did like the pilot in a lot of ways, but it also left me with a mixed feeling so I was trying to identify that with my last post. Prooobably the fight scenes, but I can get over that. ^_^

  11. ximi says:

First, congratulations for getting this done! For a while I thought we’ll never see that happening :-).

The tune is really surprisingly dark – darker than I expected. Everything set pretty good. All girls showed acting abilities above expectation as well. I wish there were more fighting content, but can understand the short length as it’s a free pilot. The few minutes we have are well designed and executed – a lot more realistic than anything we have seen, if you know what I mean.

I do feel one important piece is missing though: it’ll be great if at the end, the dude, through speech, can briefly describe his plan for what’s coming up next, to set the tune for future episode. As it is, we don’t have much clue what to see next.

So overall I am happy with the pilot and looking forward for next one. My biggest worry is still the speed of delivery :-).

    • Omni Rising Productions says:

@ximi – Thank you!!! You and me both – I mentioned some of the delays from outside sources and limited funding which attributed to it, but in the end, I am VERY happy with what my team accomplished! Having almost no budget definitely has it’s challenges, but when you have amazing people who are there for each other step up to the plate, you get some AWESOME results!

Yes, the main thing I am set on is having ‘realistic’ fight scenes and I also wanted to go very dark as it’s only recent that any type of ‘hero’ film/project goes that dark.

As for Dante’s end clap – We wanted him to maintain his mysterious nature. You know he’s in charge, but you don’t know who he is or what he does. We felt that having his character say/do too much would weaken his character as “not needing to say anything” really. He comes into play BIG time in the series.

I am very very adamant about having a FULL budget in place before we dive into the series so that delays can be avoided and everything is planned out perfectly. The reason this was so rushed is we wanted to get going to get something together to make way for a bigger campaign. We didn’t set Patreon up correctly (it’s new and not many people know about it), we didn’t have a full campaign written up with details of the project etc, and we didn’t allow much time for people to contribute and they didn’t know what they were contributing for. We also didn’t broadcast it well at all. So, we learn from mistakes and I’d like to think of it as a great learning experience so that we will not have issues in the future 🙂

  12. Jacques says:

This is a well produced, slick (a good thing) film. The darkish dungeon sets the appropriate mood. The actors do a great job. Amanda especially demonstrates her really good acting skills. The actual combat is exceptional and you would expect nothing less from Kristina who is highly proficient in combat choreography.
Nevertheless I am disappointed that this is only an eight and half long video (excluding opening and credits). The fight scene is probably no more than three and half minutes. There was plenty of hype and so I would have expected a longer film, pilot or no pilot.
There is a very large cast and a crew involved in the production. In any case this is a good start and I am looking forward to full length films in the future. I take it that there will be no more films available from Patreon.

    • Omni Rising Productions says:

@Jacques – Funn you say that – upon the first initial edit, we actually had a 12 minute film, but due to the nature of the purpose of the pilot/promo, our editing team and cast felt that the full storyline scene at the beginning slowed the pace of the episode and thus we cut a LOT out. I fought it at first, but then I realized how much the pacing helped keep the audience engaged. Also, being on YouTube and for a Kickstarter campaign in the future, having shorter videos that are “balls to the wall” so to speak, show greater success in the long-run and since we aren’t selling these videos as the norm for SHIP genre, we had to be conscious of how it would be perceived by multiple audiences as well in order to gain funding to create full-length episodes for the season 🙂

But thank you for the compliments! Our cast and crew were amazing and I’m glad their hard work is recognized!!! <3

  13. Absstar says:

Hey Kristina-Omni, now, in all honesty, did you got this storyline/idea from a movie called ” RAZE” ?? It’s available now in Amazon. It’s a 3 year old movie with the plotline/story almost identical to this! Big time Hollywood producer “Quintin Tarantino” gave the lead actress Zoe Bell a excellent review, saying ” In every sense of the word, Zoe Bell crushes it in Raze”. I’ve purchased this movie and saw it already, it was good!

    0
    • Omni Rising Productions says:

@Absstar – omg I just looked it up and the writer started laughing because he knows I am NOT a Tarantino fan! Thank you for bringing this to my attention! When we did research to be sure our concept wasn’t done already (LOTS of female fight clubs are being produced these days) we hadn’t seen this one. It does look similar, I’ll have to watch it to see just how much, but, from reading the synopsis on IMDb, thank goodness our storyline is based on a Revolution, 1 girl’s story, mobsters and more. They are kidnapped (some of them), which is close to the same, and they do fight to the death, but luckily, being a series, there are a lot of other pieces involved.

Trying to create 100% original content these days is next to impossible with things popping up every day (welcome to my stresses)!

Even with it’s similarities, I hope you still enjoyed the pilot 🙂

      • Satellakid says:

Raze was one of the best girl-fighting feature films to date in my humble opinion, I saw it at Tribeca Film Festival years ago, loved they had the balls to do so many female fights to the death. The creators and Director at the Q&A spoke on there influences such as Bloody Royale etc… Chained is its own story, it is similar to Raze but who cares, I wouldn’t stress over it. I was always hoping there was more of Raze such as sequels etc… But nothing came and it has been years! Chained is a breath of fresh air, hope you keep it going, I love it and hope to see more episodes soon. I am so happy you are doing the fight to the death scenario!! Great job to all involved!! Now when are we going to see Kristina’s fight in the series?

        0
        • Omni Rising Productions says:

I need to see Raze now that so many have referenced it! Thank you for the positivity with Chained as we do have a little different storyline (from what I gathered from the synopsis) and are hoping to bring you more soon!

Oh don’t worry – my fight is pretty darn brutal, or rather my torture because of the fight I get into I should say (reference the scar from the pilot) 😉

My head editor is pushing things along now that he’s back in town, so I’m hoping to get the episode out as quickly as possible as I’m sure the wait is getting tedious for you as it is for me!

Also, I can’t disclose the company name just yet, but I am on board consulting for a new SHIP female producer and we have our first shoot in July 😉 I’m excited to be helping a fellow lady producer and am helping to make sure she delivers what ya’ll enjoy in your SHIP films!

Hi – I tried to fill out the question for Amanda but the form kept saying “please correct the highlighted fields”. So maybe you could convey it to her instead. Again, my question would be, being that they are friends and did that yoga channel together, would Amanda be able to help convince Samantha Bogach to join your team?

Also, another couple questions for Kristina directly:

    1) Any chance of also getting Kristy Dowe Burgeson back on board as well? I’ve seen an interview with her from only a year ago where she seemed very proud of the work she did with CTL (as Thundra, Twistee, Valor and a couple other characters). Seems like that between DJ gigs with her husband, she would be game for
inclusion in a project like Chained.

    2) Will you be posting the information about Chained on SHF? It’s been almost 3 weeks and I haven’t seen a peep about it on there. If not, I would be more than happy to post the information there for you. I know a lot of people who read that forum would be very interested in the developments of Chained.

Best wishes for your pilot filming next week!

    0
    • @vadimfv – I will be sure to put those questions in for Amanda – not sure what’s going on with the forms. I just tried and it worked, but you aren’t the first one to say the form wouldn’t go through. I’m looking into it!

      1) Kristie and I have chatted briefly about it and she wants to jump on so we shall see 😉

      2) I honestly never went to that forum before myself, but I can look into it. I would LOVE for you to post on there for me if you would be so kind. That would be so awesome – I’m slammed with pre-production through next week, so the more help networking the better lol!

Thanks for the well wishes, we definitely have big shoes to fill with expectations and this project went from something somewhat small to a big beast of a series!! No complaints just panic lol!

I keep hoping that they’re captured superheroines and are forced to fight each other like that one episode of Justice League Unlimited. I guess we’ll find out what’s the what soon enough!

the girls will wear high leather boots?

    0
    • Kristina says:

@Havoc- no, it’s next to impossible to do fight scenes to the magnitude and level that we are aiming for in heels. That’s why you only see basic moves in fights from girls that are in them. Stunt people do the moves in regular shoes and the camera hides it. I’m aiming for top quality, badass fight scenes 😉

  35. Kevlar says:

    Hey Kristina & Co.
I thought the teaser trailer looked good, but it didn’t really tell us much about the series (hence teaser i guess), but there lies the biggest issue – People don’t really know what they’re buying into. I think you’ve realised that yourself, and I believe it’s a good idea you’ve decided to release the 1st Episode free. Hopefully it’ll be a big success and convince everyone to hop on board and subscribe on patreon.
I still prefer the “classic” way of just buying the videos you want, but I can understand you probably have other reasons for going for this subscription + perk model, and I am warming to the idea, especially if it helps keep video costs low for us fans.
That aside I really like the concept and I’m quite happy the girls will start off in plain clothes. It’ll actually quite refreshing to see the girls duke it out in tattered clothes with grimey faces, instead of being pristine wearing brightly colored spandex (though it would be nice if they ended up more superheroine-y further down the line).

So yeah, I’m brimming with anticipation to see the series get going. The teaser with the narration sets things up nicely – scared captured girls get tough! – I just think the patreon thing came too soon, but you seem to have a plan to get back on track by making the pilot episode a freebie, to inform and raise awareness. Til it’s released and people see what you guys can do, or we get some more info about the series I don’t think there’s going to be too much hype. But as a fan of your and the girls’ work with CtL, personally I’m really looking forward to this, I just need to know a little more!

    0
    • @Kevlar – Thank you so much for the support 🙂 Yeah, we purposely did that because we are going to be releasing more teasers (hopefully each week). Trying to get as much momentum as possible! We are updating the website with character bios & storyline this week as well so everyone will know a little more about it.
Patreon is definitely a big risk for sure, but I’m trying to enable the public to view all our work and hopefully help us grow in name and funding to continue the series. It’s a gamble for sure, but one I’m willing to at least take a roll at because I feel it would benefit everyone if the model actually worked. (fingers crossed)!!!!!!!

****I was wondering where everyone went! LOL I was posting and heard crickets and was like hmmmm…..HELLO,……It’s meeee (lol sorry I had to)!****

  36. Hey everyone – so I know some of you may have some questions for the girls and I’d like to open a little Q&A for you all to chat with them! I want to make our series and company as interactive as possible especially for our SHIP fans that have been with us through thick and thin!!

Brittany Ortiz is our first gal to the chopping block (lol) so, feel free to comment and ask questions and Britt will answer on an exclusive video interview 🙂 Ask about what she’s been up to, favorite episodes, etc – ASK AWAY!!!

Oh, and PLEASE PLEASE let me know what ya’ll thought about the teaser trailer!! Dying for feedback! <3

      @Kristina

First off it was good to see you and the other girls in a teaser. Kinda got that dark, sweaty, dirty, unclean feel to it. Doesn’t look bad but not much there too being a teaser and all. Im assuming there wont be Heroine type costumes more plain clothes type thing.

Second I want to thank you and so many others for helping me launch my semi tabloid part time career. These threads have given me the platform and basis to further dish the dirt on certain individuals – now I get to do it on another level – the SHIP genre was small time.

Do we direct questions for Britt on this thread or personal email.

      • @Judah – As of right now, we are focusing more on the backstory and setting up the series. We are looking to have the characters upgrade in some way by having sponsors or something of that nature that will change their appearances down the road – so costumes are not OUT of the mix, just not in the now just yet. I want to make sure we don’t underplay the necessity of having the viewer grow attached to the characters as they will be sticking with us for a while in the series 🙂

In the SHIP Members Lounge, I have a little submission form that you can ask your questions through or you can email me as well 🙂 https://www.chainedtheseries.com/ship-members

        • Big Zee says:

Kristina, I do not think that costumes will work for your concept. As I understand it, you have women in captivity who have to fight for their existence. Consequently I think that sweaty women in shorts and cropped tops (abs galore, lol) with sensible footwear works best. I think that ankle or shorter boots that are flat could be appropriate? The more the sweat the better.. How about women beating up males sometime in future? Also how about props. Surly they should fight dirty at times?

          0
          • Big Zee says:

Oh yes, interesting teaser but very cruel of you to makes us wait for your initial film, lol.

Roman gladiators and the death race films, all about monetising fights to the death.

Building a brand around the best fighters – inclusive of costume. Just 1 way it could make sense to have costumes

            0
          • Big Zee says:

Interesting point of view, but I will stick with shorts, cropped tops, low cut no heel boots and sweat. Lol.

            0
          • @Big Zee- LOL sorry!!! Yeah, I was going for the realism of being captured and the severity of having to fight for your life. You hit it on the nose with our wardrobe for the pilot. We will have males involved in later episodes 🙂 Props/weapons will be introduced as well later in the series as potential upgrades, etc.

@Swampy170- We are going to try to go as intense and gruesome as we can – think Spartacus 😉 And yes, we were thinking potentially having “sponsors” etc to get them branded as fighters etc.

**Dont forget to get your questions in for Brittany! We’re going to do her interview video tomorrow and this is your chance to get some questions in 😉

            0
          • swampy170 says:

@OmniRising – I wasn’t thinking literally gladiators, just the concept – that the organisers built a persona around the fighter. You see the smae thing in wrestling as the modern day equivialent. Fair enough though, an interesting concept!

Assumedly the fight organisers are going to be characters? And as such you have dfferent “promoters” who control different fighters?

            0
          • @Swampy – We’ve built an entire world on this concept of an underground fighting ring, but the girls are not there by their own free will – We’ve mixed in the element of human trafficking. Our head honcho is Dante, think Fortune 500 CEO mixed with a Cartel feel. He runs the entire organization and there are other KingPins so to speak that own their own “clans” of girls. My writers are coming up with a concept story that will be available soon where we will explain a bit more without giving away the entire story. 🙂

@BigZee – yes, dark, sweaty, dirty and gruesome is what we’re going for. The series will have a sort of Sin City/Fight Club vibe to it looks-wise 😉

            0
          • swampy170 says:

Sure, very much along my thinking.

My suggestion is you mix in “pros” too though. Similar position to Gladiators.

You had slave gladiators and also professional gladiators, the professionals could either have joined by their own free will or be ex-slave fighters who now just fight because the want to (so a little unhinged)

Going along the fightclub theme, you could also have people (i’d suggest men) who pay to fight the “gladiators”. Ideally you’d make them very much physcally stronger than the “gladiator” they’re fighting .

It could be a major upset in the series, the top lady dragged out unexpectedly and thrown in the ring with a huge brute who’s paying to fight.

            .

Shall stop with the suggestions however! – best not to write the entire story on a discussion board!

            0
          • Very good suggestions! Let’s just say we are basing a lot of the idea around Spartucus and the gladiators 😉 I like the suggestion of people paying to fight them – good idea!!

            0
          • swampy170 says:

Or is it even more underground than that with literal cages of fighters, even then you’ll have professionals though too I’d assume

            0
          • Big Zee says:

Well, if you want to go that far, how about black and white in a dark setting in a hot and steamy environment? This reminds me of Roger Corman type films from the old days or even Russ Meyer(sort of).

Oh. My. God. That actress introduction vid is like a real-life A-Force! And you are the powerful She-Hulk!

Kristina: Just watching that had me welling up with tears in my eyes from how dedicated and kick-ass your all-star crew is going to be. We have had so many of our lives brightened for the past few years from that stellar lineup of CTL/TheSuperheroines actresses, and now to see them unite under the banner of a female-run production company, my heart bursts with pride. I will contribute to the Patreon very soon. And I can’t wait to hear my name read possibly by the likes of the amazing Amanda Santella (so glad we don’t have to pretend anymore who Tiffany Chase is) or the majestic Anna “Wonder Crusher” Hanson.

Since it’s that time of year, I have “four questions” if you might take the time to answer them..I think others are thinking similarly anyway:

    1) I’m very interested in the SHIP members community. So is the minimum to participate in that $10 a month?

    2) Will OmniRising eventually be doing some videos which feature heroines in [tight] costumes and/or heroines with powers? Seems to be a winning formula for CBS, the CW, and even Playstation (“Powers”) so it could work for you too.

    3) Will there be any content (not necessarily in Chained, but in general) which involves more R-rated scenarios..things like forced or mutual orgasms, self-pleasuring, simulated sex, lesbianism and so on?

    4) And finally I think a question which is on everyone’s mind…will you bring Samantha Bogach into the fold??
She is obviously best pals with Amanda (see their joint yoga channel on Youtube). And she is obviously proud of her work with CTL…literally less than a day ago, she posted her fight scenes from the Valor video on her own Youtube channel. (Could that have been inspired by the Chained announcement?). Please give us some good news about my favorite Jewish bombshell.

Thanks for all you do, and all that you will do!

    • @vadimfv – THANK YOU!!! We’re so excited to have something to show you all finally!

      1) As of right now, our pilot episode is going to be FREE to the public to view. I haven’t figured out if I’m going to have a subscription for the SHIP Members on the website yet for exclusive content, etc or if I’m just going to have the perks available through the Patreon Campaign. I’m trying to gain a subscriber & support base on there so it’ll help us continue the series. If I don’t get a good subscription base, then we’ll have to re-adjust the platform, but I’m trying to keep these episodes available for free for everyone and the contributors are able to get cool perks that I think will be incentive for them to stay on 🙂

      2) The writers are ironing out the entire season as we speak and I know there is talk about upgrades in costumes etc, so this is a possibility 😉

      3) This series is targeted to potentially be able to pitch to networks like CW, Netflix, etc, so we can’t have anything of that nature. It may be considered rated-R material due to some language and violence, but not necessarily “Skinemax” with sexual content.

      4) I haven’t spoken with Samantha as of yet, but we are on good terms so it’s possible 🙂

Hi Everyone!! Some of the girls would like to personally thank our first round of contributors for “Chained” in this video below!!!! THANK YOU!

    https://youtu.be/M1GxcZA2qlk

Also, we have some changes with the series and I have sent out personal emails to our contributors as well.

**Quick update, as I mentioned from the beginning, this is a new learning experience for me on a brand new platform. After speaking with the creators and cast a bit more, we have decided to release the Pilot episode FREE to the public as a way to gain interest and followers to hopefully gain more of a budget for future episodes, but also as a Thank You to everyone who has believed in us and followed our journeys thus far!!

We have not decided if we are going to remain a free release or if it will only be the pilot episode (full disclosure and honesty here, we will have to see how everything plays out funding-wise). But I do promise that my Patreon Patrons will be the first to hear about any news and will be treated like an exclusive group 🙂

We WILL keep our Patreon platform open so people can sign up for Perks and be a part of the growth of Chained and Omni Rising Productions, a female-based series and company and we will be changing SOME of the perks on the site, but I will be sure to honor the perk you were promised when you contributed prior to today even if it changes on the site as well as add whatever perk is new to your pledge amount if it changes on the site 😉

I also know some have asked about contributing different amounts each month, flat donations, etc, and all of those questions you may have are on our site in a Q&A section: https://www.chainedtheseries.com/campaign.html

Our teaser trailer is in it’s final stages of editing so I should be able to get that up soon!!!! Thanks everyone!! 🙂

Honestly I feel the campaign is a bit premature. For folks here (myself included), sure this is good enough to get our interest and contribution – heck, just the names of Kristina, Amenda and Krinstin are good enough for me 🙂 – but I think for this to work for the broader group to get support, you will need more than the few pictures. At least some stories and characters design.

    0
    • Kristina says:

@Ximi – Totally understand & agree with you! I started the campaign to gain momentum as I finished up gathering footage for our Teaser Trailer and Sizzle Reel (Which the sizzle should be done tomorrow). Talia wasn’t in town for the shoot we had for the teaser trailer, so she is doing her shoot on Tuesday evening, so I’ve been waiting on that footage unfortunately which has pushed back the delivery timeline.

I’ll get as much information out as I can to you all this coming week, sorry I’ve been on a project in Malibu so haven’t been as responsive as I typically am 🙁

Here is another promo for the series if you haven’t seen it yet! Can you guess the cast member?

Also, quick update – we’ve gotten $435 in pledges in our first day of the campaign – so awesome especially since I haven’t really released any trailers/teasers yet (SOON!)! I wanted to also let you all know that I created the FAQ page on the Chained main site to answer some frequent questions. YES, you can contribute a flat rate and JUST subscribe in order to get that 1 episode before the end of that month’s campaign. Just follow the instructions on the FAQ, or just email me to find out how 🙂

ALSO – after speaking with my creators, I think for those who choose not to subscribe through Patreon and want to still purchase the episode, the episode will be priced at the standard pricing structure of $1/min (making the films in the $15-$20 range). So instead of the $10 on Patreon, it’ll be $15-$20 (depending on length) AFTER the episode is released, possibly a month after public (Patron) release. I think it’s a good deal and I’m trying to come up with a new platform to get you all awesome episodes for a cheaper price, but I can understand the hesitation until I put up teasers. (I can pout at it, but can understand lol)

So excited at the growing support!!!! <3

      • Spandex Fiend says:

        Hi Kristina,

I had a couple of ideas regarding this, but I didn’t want to suggest them if you’d already put something in place. The first way would be to “Netflix” it. I don’t mean actually put it on Netflix, but like Netflix, you can wait some amount of time after the episode comes out. I think Netflix waits 6 months after a movie comes out on DVD to show it on their platform. Maybe not THAT long, but perhaps you say that say Episode 1 won’t come out for “late purchase” until after Episode 3 is released for the subscribed members.

Another idea could be some kind of a price penalty. Obviously, you want people to sign up for the episode-to-episode subscription so there needs to be advantages to that beyond the obvious perks. So if you’re signed up with perks, you get the video for $10, but if you wait until it’s released to non-subscribers, then it’s $15 or $20. I’m making numbers up off the top of my head, but that would drive people to subscribe, while also giving other the option to buy a video here and there.

You could always combine the two in some form or fashion as well. 😉 By the way, your perks (dunno if you’ve fixed them yet) say $10 per Per Video. Not sure if there’s a way to fix that or not.

@Spandex Fiend you are literally in my head! I was JUST talking about the pricing plan for later purchases and $15-$20 per episode was where I was thinking too lol. Great minds think alike I guess!

I’ll have another promo poster release in a bit on Patreon 😉 Thank you guys so much for the contributions that keep coming in! You’re making this whole project so much less stressful for us all – xoxoxo!

  54. kained says:

I’m loving the photos. Also loving the sound of the content regarding chains, bondage, torture, forced fighting, these are things that are up my ally haha. So, I was curious about how much focus different elements like girl power and peril would have. Would an episode be mixed, or more focused on one over the other? Are the heroines winning more often than they’re losing with the villains? I enjoyed this tagline on one of the photos, ‘They think they can break us down, but it only feeds our will to break free’. It suggests the villains attempt to break their spirit. Would there be humiliation and other slavery aspects in the series?

    0
    • Kristina says:

@kained – you pretty much nailed it right on the head! Our series is based on human trafficking and a fight club that feeds it, so you will definitely get the sense of humiliation and slavery mixed with very strong females etc. Our villains will be very different character-wise and our leads (9 females) will all have a very different story and character. We are trying to ensure that each episode has its share of peril and girl power. There will be some that will show the “breaking” of the characters and that will be torture-heavy. But the writers are trying to hit every check box per episode to the best of their abilities. Hope that answers your questions 🙂

      0
      • kained says:

That sounds like a great mixture of content. Hoping for some episodes where it’s a one-sided beat down of the heroine as that’s where my own tastes are. I was wondering what length the videos would be? Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions.

        0
        • Kristina says:

@kained as of right now we’re aiming for 15-20 min, but we are finalizing the scripts now and will have to judge the pacing with the fights as we are looking for faster pacing on the fights with more intricate moves 😉

          0
  55. Kristina says:

So I’ve gotten a few questions via email about getting the videos. Making it as clear as I can, with the Patreon campaign, you are getting each episode for the lowest cost of $10. Obviously there are other perks available including costume design, storyline development, LIVE streaming of filming on set, Fan packages in the mail, Skype sessions, etc, but $10 gets you each episode as of right now through this platform along with being entered into a raffle for cool prizes and the blooper reel. I know some are hesitant because they would like to see some footage/trailers/series info etc and I assure you that is TOP priority on my crazy list right now – I will get that to ya ASAP! 😉

With TheSuperheroines/CTLE going away from the genre, it’ll definitely be nice to see a lot of the classic girls coming back for this (especially Amanda/Tiffany because she is my favorite). I’ll be interested to see how it looks and what elements are carried over from CTLE films. I also have chatted with Kristina a lot when I was ordering custom work from CTLE and she definitely stays in contact and works with you, so I believe she will listen to the fans.

I am a bit concerned because I heard that there were some continuity and attention to detail issues when Kristina oversaw some things for CTLE. I definitely saw some things myself that were out of place in some videos like characters changing positions in shots, so I hope that they can avoid those issues with this project.

Looking forward to seeing the heroines in their new costumes! Amanda/Tiffany as Trinity was always my favorite from CTLE, so if her heroine looks anything like Trinity, I will be on board. 🙂

Thanks for the kind words @Paul! The best part of this whole new platform is that the fans will have opportunities to help us with costumes!! Since we are starting with origin stories, there is a lot of time to develop characters and find the best costumes/looks for them.

As for continuity issues at CtL, I for sure can’t say I was perfect so I am sure there were mistakes in some episodes towards the end – I was wearing way too many hats which unfortunately led to my missing things here and there (not an excuse, just an unfortunate occurrence), but I also want to ease anyone’s worry that this won’t be a very meticulously shot series as I want my first solo project as a producer to SLAM DUNK!

I will have the trailers and more updates posted on the Patreon page as they come up and I will be sure to try to keep everyone in the loop on new developments! 🙂

Completely understandable, it happens, live and you learn. Definitely not holding it against you, so I look forward to seeing what you guys do with this project. Good luck moving forward!

thanks Kristina look forward to this will the belly punching be real or simulation

    • Kristina says:

That’s funny you ask because if it’s Tiffany(Amanda) and I, we usually beat the crap out of each other, so we actually make hard contact! But, in general, in the stunt world, there is always some contact 😉

steve, real or simulation, when it comes to the two of them, it sure looks real. Every kick, punch, slap, etc is right on target.

ALRIGHT GUYS! The time has come (lol, I’m being a bit dramatic!). Here is your exclusive link to the Chained site and you will see all of the gals involved!! Also, please note that I mentioned not to panic, Tiffany was at a birthday brunch so came late to filming, so she is not in THIS video – she is in another we shot that day, but she is VERY MUCH still a main character in the project 😉

Good stuff. I’m still a little confused about somethings. I’ll hit u up with a personal email. Recent events may have left a bad taste in some people’s for kickstarter type things. But let’s see where you go let it ride.

Totally understandable! This won’t necessarily be up everyone’s alley, but I can completely respect that. 😉 I’ll look for your email!

will this contain lots of belly punching

    • Kristina says:

This will be a brutal series, so it will encompass TONS of elements including belly punching for sure, low blows, AOH, chains, bondage, torture, etc 😉 I got your back ya’ll!! lol

If this series incorporates Kristina Hess type combat choreography, then this is fantastic stuff;we have a winner. If we are talking vicious combat in the films, then this a doubly fantastic. This series looks like a refreshing change from SHiP.
If anyone wants to learn about Kristina’s combat moves, I recommend that you buy ‘Silk and Steel’ and ‘Break’ on the other site before it closes down for good, make that ASAP.

Aww Thanks @Big Zee!!! I’m finishing up our cast reveal/update cast video. I wanted to have the epic Cast Reveal Teaser up for you guys, but looks like we shouldn’t wait and I’ll post the cast video of us chatting! 😉

This is exciting news! Looking forward to more details/teasers/trailers about the series. I think I recognise Kristina and Tiffany in a couple of the promos on the website, can’t say for certain who’s butt is in the pic above though. It’ll be awesome to see the two of you and Kayla back in action again, but release the rest of the cast!

I wasn’t keen on the kickstarter way of buying videos, but if it helps keeps costs low then I guess that’s a plus. The perks are a nice option for those who want them, hopefully they’ll appeal to a lot of people, but personally I’m only really interested in the actual episode itself. My main concern is how videos are delivered. I like to pay for a video and be able to download and watch it straight away, would this Patreon method mean we’d contribute only to potentially wait days/weeks before receiving the episode?

Anyway, I love the origin/pre-superpower idea behind the series. Peril, girl power and torture themes sound great, (hopefully there’ll be some f/f low blows involved!). I’m intrigued to find out more and seeing the synopsis of the story. And of course looking forward to seeing the action, watching you girls kick some butt. Out of curiosity will this be mostly F/F, M/F or a bit of both?

    • Kristina says:

@Kevlar – great questions! It will incorporate both f/f/ and f/m, but MAINLY f/f as of right now. The way Patreon is set up is you would contribute to each episode and when they release you will get a video download just as you did with theSuperheroines. There are going to be some perks that enable certain levels to get the videos on an early release schedule as well 🙂 As of right now (and things could change, this is still a brand new area for me) we will only be releasing 1 episode per month, so your contribution would go towards the newest episode each month. So a short answer to your question, yes, you would have to wait until the release to receive the episode. I’m hoping once I launch the campaign (hoping in the next 24 hours or so), the site itself will answer a lot of your questions. 🙂

I’m getting bombarded with emails for the full cast LOL. Okay, okay, since one of our cast members hasn’t shot her promo yet and I don’t want ya’ll to have to wait until late next week to even hear of the cast, I will reveal today 😉

ALSO – I am also creating a SHIP Lounge, members only, on our site as a thank you to you all for being so supportive of our cast over the years. This is our way of giving back and providing you with exclusive videos, updates, etc. I’m setting it all up right now so will post the link as soon as it’s completed (I’m working like a mad woman today trying to get everything done lol ONE WOMAN MACHINE over here) lol.

Sorry but maybe it’s just me but I’m getting tired of these kick-start campaigns so producers can get videos made. IMHO if you can’t afford to shoot a video then don’t shoot it. This constant asking fans to fund videos is ridiculous

    0
    • Kristina says:

@Todd – I can totally understand your distain for them, however, my pricing structure isn’t going to be like the norm for this genre with the $1/min platform. Basically the way this is going to be structured is you will get the video for contributing, which would essentially be the same as you paying for it when it releases (but at a cheaper price). Does that make sense? I feel once the campaign begins, you will see the platform and understand that it’s not necessarily like Kick-Starter, but moreso a new way to get the videos. 🙂

Basically I am trying to make our episodes almost free for everyone to enjoy, but have to figure out a way to keep funding more episodes to keep going 🙂

    is this a superheroine?

    0
    • Kristina says:

@raymond – That’s a great idea with the commentary! Yes, this is the super heroine genre but we won’t see any of the girls with powers just yet. We are diving more into the origin story first which is going to encompass lots of peril and girl power elements mixed with torture. Think of XMen before they knew of their powers. I’ll have a synopsis to be able to send you guys once my writers get it to me 😉

@Raiderman – I knowwww I known sorry!!! My editor is working on the reveal teaser trailer as we speak – My goal is to get it by late next week!!! I promise, I’m just as eager as you and the girls are antsy to start chatting with everyone!!
