Wowza! Now this one is intense!
Is this the longest fight NGC have filmed? It certainly feels like it, there’s almost no let up in the action, so much so that it feels a lot longer than it’s run time.
As you might guess, I’m seriously impressed with this.
Dr. Mabuse makes a great point about Starshot being left behind; she was in on ‘t…[Read more]0

It’s a tribute to how good these actresses are, and how good NGC’s writing is that we care about them so much.0

Well I feel the same way about Bluebird, so I’m with you there.0
Really want to add my voice to the bravos and compliments for this because it’s something very special.
Darkwrath and Dr.Mabuse have done great jobs describing the action. As usual though there’s a scene I want to focus on that takes this to another level.
Before we get in to that though, I love, love, LOVE Sonica’s new look. I really liked…[Read more]0

Really pushed for time today (adulting sucks) but I want to sing the praises of this because it’s a throughly enjoyable, fun release.
The first thing that struck me was how beautifully filmed it is; the colours jump off the screen and the contrast is very powerful, almost ‘true black’ (if that’s the right term for it).
Comet Girl’s speed pow…[Read more]0
It wouldn’t surprise me to see some more episodes featuring Miss F’s torment (similar to the season two side missions that showed Bluebird’s agonies at the hands of the Darkhearts) and of course there’s always the possibility of some non-canon stuff.
And let’s remember that Miss F isn’t on her own, some others were left behind too, I…[Read more]0
Darkwrath’s done such a good write up I’m tempted to just put “Yeah, what he said”, but there’s some elements here I really want to talk about.
The big news, for me, was finding out more about the 7th Dimension’s motive; they’re bored.
They don’t want dominion (it seems that they already have that), they do what they do because of ennu…[Read more]0
I want to add my voice to the bravos for this because it’s more than a bit special.
We’re getting a more of a sense of the world outside the ring with every release. Here, the MC calls the ring “…a ring time forgot”. I’ve got an image of the building that contains the ring, spinning all by itself in space (the ring at the end of the univers…[Read more]0
This is lots of fun and it take a surprisingly dark turn at the end.
In fact there’s a few surprises here. The first one being Miss Freedom herself. She’s actually quite a sympathetic character in this release. Maybe in this reality she has less of a sense of entitlement, or maybe she’s on her best behaviour; she is on TV after all.
We do ge…[Read more]0
I thought the same thing Dr (about the wonderful actress who plays Bluebird).
In my head I’ve embraced a reality where we don’t see her again (although recent posts on the NGC blog give me hope).
Even if we only find out about Bluebird’s fate (no pun intended) ‘off screen’ I’m on tenter hooks to know what happens.0
Rob_Hinx commented on the post, OUT NOW: "Deceptress v Snare" from Next Global Crisis 1 month, 3 weeks ago
This is a really enjoyable, fun addition to the Pure series, and it’s a welcome return to one of NGC’s best bad guys.
It kicks off with Deceptress marching her way into her challengers location. She looks fierce, in fact, scratch that, she’s looking furious!
There’s a nice moment when, after her challenger has revealed himself, she throws…[Read more]0
According to Sister Fate’s bio on the NGC site, she and the Crown Prince have been devising’…deviant punishments for the Blue Beauty over several millennia”. In Broken Wings Sister Fate said something about Bluebird becoming a testament to failure.
It’s possible that Bluebird’s punishments have taken place in front of the other captives so…[Read more]0
When Celestia ran her, oh so articulate, mouth off at the MC I seriously wondered if she was ‘on the side of the angels’, then I got it. It was a nice bit of reverse psychology…
I caught the glance between Spectrum and Celestia too….and I have to wonder, are they being set up for a fall?
After all, no plan ever survived the battle field.0
Lots of nice character moments here, and an important element of the story has (or is about to) come together.
It’s probably a bit too early to discuss the story elements, suffice to say I think something big is just over the horizon.
It’s the story and character elements that I enjoy, maybe even more so than the action, and in that light thi…[Read more]0
Fascinating thoughts Doctor.
It occurs to me that the heroine’s change of attitude might be organic; Candy might blame Wonderstrike for her (Candy’s) capture, Starshot might regret throwing her lot in with Celestia and so on…although I do suspect the 7D have something to do with it, maybe they’re just bringing out resentments that the heroines…[Read more]0
Lots of fun and games in this one. Dr.Mabuse and Darkwrath have done great jobs describing the action, I want to focus on the character and story aspects that I think make this release special.
At first when I saw the previews I wondered, who’s going to be the bad girl?
Reluctant opponents can be interesting (think of Bluebird vs. Athena) b…[Read more]0
I think I may be in the minority here (although I’ve just seen Mr. Bleh and Beast’s comments so maybe not!), but I enjoyed this
Super Vixen & Super Eden are both superb and there was a nice Super Woman/ Super Girl vibe between them.
The main in thing is this release is how the Supers are affected by the Kryptonite and the two girls did a…[Read more]0
