Lots of goodies to enjoy here. I really enjoyed the sense of the word that this takes place in. Falcone (who is superb as ever) has got his ‘tendrils’ into politics; the rigged election of a corrupt President. I loved Metro Girl’s line- “lies go deeper than slogans on buses…” (ooh, little bit of politics there, as Ben Elton used to say). Metro Girl is an interesting character, in fact you have to wonder how much of a ‘heroine’ she really is; she certainly has no compunction about about laying into Falcone, even when he’s restrained. In fact her aggression… Read more »

I agree about the Action Cosplay “world.” Falcone has emerged as the central villain, it appears, but maybe he’s not? He could be just doing the bidding of another malevolent actor, perhaps the corrupt president or someone behind the throne. I’m not prepared to take things at face value so far. I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m surprised in the future, is what I’m saying. One of the interesting things about this AC episode (and the last) is that it puts some previous entries into a different perspective. In the Marvelette video, it looks like the heroine agreed (under duress,… Read more »

Fascinating thoughts Doctor. It wouldn’t surprise me to find the 7th Dimension involved in the Action Cosplay world.
In fact there were some shady characters referred to in the Mia Melee/Supergirl story who, on reflection, had ‘other-worldly’ powers….hmmm, I wonder….

I hadn’t considered that possibility at all. I’d be very surprised if the 7D’s influence reached even into Action Cosplay, but mainly because it features the same actresses in different roles. If it crossed over with the NGC main continuity, you have the prospect of Shadow Fox meeting Deceptress, or Metro Girl crossing Wonderstrike. I’ve been surprised before, though, and sure I will be again. I’d also be a bit disappointed, though, because I feel like the AC story is going in a different direction than heroine hunters and their prey. Metro Girl certainly pushes the envelope in this video… Read more »

Yes, my fan-boy theory does fall down somewhat in that light 😉
It might be fun to see, for example, Marvelette meeting Wonderstrike (and Wonderstrike being puzzled by ‘Candy’s’ new look) or Metro Girl meeting Starshot.

Talking of Metri Girl, you’re right about her pushing due process (I loved it when she went to whack Falcone with the chair!), she’s certainly more Punisher-esque vigilante than paragon of virtue.

Just picked this one up.
I love how this actress comes across.
So strong and forthright.
I liked the element of the “button”, too. Very “FSS-ish”…..makes me wonder if she isn’t one of them.
Anyway, another great production from NGC.
Thanks guys.

Loved this, she’s so articulate and in depth with the answers.
(Will it be available to download at any time?)

This one was just okay for me. Guess I’m not a catsuit kidna guy. Wonderstrike (Metro girl) has improved her performance again, though not quite as dramatic as the improvement I saw in the Pure Wonderstrike vs Sister Fate. Indeed, her face punch reactions are pretty good that there is little to no delay between her head swinging to the punch’s strike. And Wonderstrike has turned up the intensity on her pain reactions. But she still displays no progressive change in pain as the fight goes on. We here the same “ah!” reaction to strikes at the first punch and… Read more »

This is a really good video and a great addition to the Action Cosplay collection. The only thing keeping me from saying “this is my favorite NGC video in quite a while” is that “Phased Out” was released last week and that’s my favorite in quite a while. If I hadn’t already fully signed onto the Wonderstrike actress’s fan club, I would now. She’s absolutely great as an impetuous crusader who gets in over her (hot) head. We don’t learn a lot about Metro Girl from this video, but I’m anxious to learn more in what I hope will be… Read more »

This was really really good! Loved the reactions from Metro Girl. Would love to see her in a more revealing costume next time. She has the perfect body to show off while taking those belly punches!

I just love how she took that three punch combo in the trailer. All the fighting looks fast and crisp in this one, I can’t wait for Friday!

This looks darn good. I’m a sucker for intrigues and hidden dangers, and we’ve got both here. “Metro Girl” faces returning villain Falcone and a new face who’s an ally-turned-turncoat. As good as all the visible elements are, I’m especially excited about the Action Cosplay world that’s coming together here. NGC has done some really admirable world-building over the years. The main story takes place in a recognizable contemporary world with a familiar media environment (reality shows, tabloid journalists, social media, etc.) in which superheroes and aliens are real. The Fail-Safe Sisters world was totally different, almost dystopian, but had… Read more »

This has me even more hooked than Marvellete did!
Props to NGC for introducing less mainstream heroines for peril videos!! Even if i feel shorter boots or no footwear at all would fit better. But just a small complain against massive hype!

the boots look great! No boots would make it look like she fights crime in her pajamas. IMO boots make the heroine look like a heroine.

Debooting sucks. Always keep the boots on.

Should try RE-booting. XD

(not actually serious)

You guys really do a great job. You have some legendary episodes and some which weren’t my cup of tea. But I totally understand, this person loves debooting, this person hates it. This person likes this, another person likes that. Overall, you guys produce consistent quality and that’s really all we can ask for. Keep up the good work. BTW – I still hold out hope that one day you guys will complete the Erica vs Dominator Trilogy with the most one-sided battle ever. Until then, I am still your loyal fan, and have been since the very first PowerStar… Read more »

I imagined something like that regarding slipping (or keeping the suit intact) was the case since i have seen the costume in more than one convention ^^. I’m sorry if people felt the comment implied i wanted debooting (since most of the time i don’tbcare for it), it’s just that when you know the character portrayed, something can “feel off” when some of the costume doesn’t match the popular image you have of him/her (it would be like seeing wonder woman with green boots). Anyway i know the point of action cosplay is not accuraccy but to entertain and create… Read more »
