Darkwrath’s done such a good write up I’m tempted to just put “Yeah, what he said”, but there’s some elements here I really want to talk about. The big news, for me, was finding out more about the 7th Dimension’s motive; they’re bored. They don’t want dominion (it seems that they already have that), they do what they do because of ennui. That makes the tortures inflicted on poor Bluebird, Deceptress et al seem even more sadistic. In this light the 7th D remind me of the decadent ‘Eternals’ in John Boorman’s ‘Zardoz’. I must admit, I appreciated the delicious… Read more »

Likewise, I thought Darkwrath did such a good job detailing the virtues of this video that I didn’t try myself, but you found a few other worthy things to highlight, Rob. I’m wondering where the story goes from here. If Miss F will remain in the CP’s possession for the foreseeable future, we may not see much of her for awhile. Meanwhile, the Crown Prince seems intent on trying to reclaim his lost prisoners, but for the time being can’t find them. What can the heroines do now? Can they resume their do-gooding without drawing the Crown Prince’s attention? Is… Read more »

Thanks Dr!
It wouldn’t surprise me to see some more episodes featuring Miss F’s torment (similar to the season two side missions that showed Bluebird’s agonies at the hands of the Darkhearts) and of course there’s always the possibility of some non-canon stuff.
And let’s remember that Miss F isn’t on her own, some others were left behind too, I think there’s a lot more to this story still to come!

Add me to the list, I loved this one as well. Miss Freedom is such a tremendous talent, and once again I think she’s the main asset to this video. The concept has some originality, particularly the swordplay, and some of the fight maneuvers surprised me a bit. Still, the bottom line for me is that it’s just such a pleasure to watch Miss F work.

I don’t know what i can say that hasn’t already been covered here.
Miss freedom looked stunning clad in the full body uniform, so sexy and the lipstick was an added bonus too.
I preferred the loose ending where she was strangled with her own cape
She sells every hold and move well, and some of the facial expressions and grimaces are spot on.
I wouldn’t mind seeing Bluebird in that outfit, just to see if she can carry it off as well as MF.

This is Miss Freedom’s best performance to date in my opinion. I thought Freedom Fights was the pinnacle of her skills as a performer but this film is deserving of extra commendation. Miss Freedom, as a heroine in peril, has to rank as one of the top three performers NGC has to offer, behind only Starshot and Lady Victory in my opinion. In this one she had such a wonderful array of facial and vocal expressions when receiving a beat down. All throughout the fight she sold every punch, every choke, every hold and every blow virtually perfectly. To be… Read more »

That off the wall punch was pretty dope.

Very much looking forward to the members’ gift material this week! This is one of my favorite Celestia videos, and if there’s a bit of Suki in there as well, that’s even better. Suki Deluxe isn’t mentioned much, but she was a great heroine, beautiful and capable actress, and one of the earliest “tragic heroines” in the NGC saga.

Suki was my favorite at the time.

Speaking of Celestia, and I know this is a Miss Freedom video so pardon the detour, but we’ll be seeing Celestia again correct?

This looks good! She looks great, I love bodysuits and her red lipstick! My only costume complaint is long capes. I don’t mind a short cape but I don’t like it when they cover the butt.

Always happy to see Miss Freedom again. Always.

Ahh so many thoughts on this one. First, this looks really good which is surprising given my dislike of the character Miss Freedom and my dislike of catsuits in general. Second, I was wondering how the now dual story of the Championship and actual Story would progress after last month’s episode “All Together now”. I was a little bit surprised last week that no one asked the question as to why there was even a championship battle to begin with. After all, everyone supposedly (save for Bluebird) would have been transported away from their respective captor to Sanctuary by the… Read more »

I was wondering the same thing as Darkwrath; thanks for clearing that up. Making the Championship series non-canon makes things much simpler (although the brief echo at the end of “Welcome to Forever” was really cool).

I don’t know. I think making the Championship series non-cannon again makes things even more confusing. What is “cannon” in the Championship? Was it everything that came prior to “All Together Now”? Is everything that’s going to come out after that now non-cannon? Was any of the Championship cannon save for that one story episode? As a point of clarification I’m not in anyway suggesting that there should be no more Championship battles. In fact I love the Championship. Frankly speaking, it’s the best product line NGC has right now. I just want some context for these fights and orient… Read more »

The way I understand it (and this is just my way of making sense of it) is that saying the Championship is “non-canon” is equivalent to saying “it’s in a different continuity to the main story.” That doesn’t mean it “doesn’t matter”, just that there’s no need to explain how, for instance, Athena fought in the Championship ring even though she was killed during the Invasion. I think about the present and future Championship matches as the ongoing story of that continuity, where all the heroines we know and love are all fighting each other, whereas in the “main story”… Read more »
