PURE: Lady Victory v Alaric
As part of our ‘Pure’ series, Lady Victory enters the space to take on Alaric one on one. Both combatants have legendary strength but who is the mightier?
Things go well for Lady Victory in the beginning as she manages to floor her demonic foe, but before long the larger male is putting the squeeze on our heroine, making her feel weak. The battle see-saws with Lady Victory landing effective blows, but Alaric lifting, choking, and squashing her with regularity.
Can Lady Victory vanquish the man responsible for so many heroine defeats? Or will she herself be added to his list of conquests?

Really pleased with this addition to the Pure series. Being a Pure release the emphasis is on action but, it’s NGC so there’s also some great story telling woven into the action. Lady Victory has thrown down the gauntlet to Alaric, possibly she wants to recover her pride after a string of defeats. That raises the stakes and makes the battle personal. Both Lady V and Alaric are on great form, I especially liked Lady V’s ‘death from above’ punch (has she been sparring with The Equaliser?) and Alaric inflicts some serious punishment to Lady V’s midriff (well, lets face… Read more »
I was “pretty excited” for this release, hedging a bit on enthusiasm. Having watched it, I was wrong to hedge. This was really great! There were definitely reasons to temper expectations. Yes, we’ve seen LV fight Alaric in a couple other videos recently (her abduction episode in the main story and a bit from her Villain Network appearance) and we were treated to her devastating loss to a different swaggering brute (Commander Curse) not too long ago. But, I think LV really outdoes herself this time in depicting both her no-holding-back fight style and her desperation and fragility when she’s… Read more »
I loved LV but my wallet is empty and i got tons of videos of her already. Iam fan of belly punching. Can you tell me if the video had some?
Excellent write up Dr. I get what you’re saying about the difference between Miss Freedom and Lady Victory. To me, Miss F has a sense of ‘entitlement’, kind of “I’ve got the power, the outfit, the hair and the legs, everyone should fall before me” and when things don’t go her way she becomes petulant. Lady Victory is more, noble I suppose, in the thread for ‘Image Rights’ NGC made a comment that Lady V was born to be Lady V. It seems to me that when things go against her she feels that she’s failing the people who look… Read more »
Totally agree, Rob! You get at what I was trying to say in my comment above, which is that (as I see it) when Lady V loses, she reacts as if she’s failed to live up to what she’s supposed to be, whereas when Miss F loses, she responds as if she’s been failed–her powers failed her or her opponent(s) failed to play fair (as though there’s any “fair” in superheroing).
Spot on Dr, I think between us we’ve got it!
In ‘Miss Freedom & Sonica vs Malicia & Sister Fate’ Miss F actually says “I knew I could win if the fight were fair”
The entitlement is strong in that one! 🙂
Not really sure why but the promos don’t really excite me all that much. That said, this is Lady Victory we’re talking about and the pure series emphasis on combat is pretty much right up my alley. If this is half as good as Eric v Alaric or Iron Curtain then it’s bound to be wonderful.
Maybe because it seems pretty similar to other recent appearances of hers. She looks great, I’m sure it’s good. But it’d be great to shake her up a bit. Costume alterations, debooting, new weapons, etc.
Based on lack of appearances, I’m guessing Red Glory has been phased out? 🙁
But others I have really liked have gone and NGC always maintains a great roster. Impressive.
‘Phased Out’ sounds a lot more ruthless than it was. Moved away, started a family. Very common with women in the age group we use. I’m pleased we still have people you like though, and hope to bring in more.
Years ago, I would be disappointed when a character/actress I particularly liked in the NGC roster would exit, whether her arc came to a definite end or she just stopped appearing. Over time, though, I’ve seen new performers appear constantly who are every bit as good as the ones I missed. Oddly, the toughest ones to lose (for me) are the ones who didn’t make many appearances, like Steel Sister, Catherine Marks, and Infinity Girl. I feel like we didn’t get to see the full stories of those characters or what the actresses were truly capable of. I’d feel the… Read more »
I hear you Dr. Mabuse. Steel Sister was one of those actresses who showed so much potential and would have been one of the best NGC had to offer if she had a few more episodes. A shame it was only two in the end. I had also feared that Lady Victory was going to be one of those actresses who would have been lost to us given that it was two years since her last outing prior to her 2018 stuff. Glad to see that she’s willing to shoot with NGC whenever she’s in town with them. Always puts… Read more »
Thank you for the update. I was wondering where she’d gone.
That’s a great reason!
Lady Victory, Wonderstrike AND Red Glory?!
What good deed did I perform in order to have been granted this?!
…now the l-o-n-g wait to Friday.
Right on, NGC!
Lady Victory and bonus video footage !!! Hell Yeah !!!
The Pure series has been a mixed bag for me. I loved the entries with Candy Race and Wonderstrike and really liked Erica’s clash with Alaric, but the Virtue/Dominator rematch was a bit of a letdown and the Deceptress/Dr Progress entry wasn’t my cup of tea either. Looking at the promos for this one, though, I’m pretty excited. Alaric always puts on a good show, but these pictures and teaser are a welcome reminder of how fantastic Lady Victory is. First off, wow is she good looking. I mean, she’s spectacularly gorgeous. Second, she looks every bit the seasoned professional… Read more »
