“The Iron Curtain” from Next Global Crisis
“The Iron Curtain” starring Candy Race
In this non-canon Pure encounter we see Candy ‘The Equalizer’ Race bearing down on the Crown Prince of the 7th Dimension. There is only one obstacle in her path, his personal bodyguard ‘The Iron Drone’. Candy’s powers make her a match for absolutely anyone, but does that extend to mechanical beasts?
Candy’s early confidence is dashed by the power of the drone, but she continues to put up a decent fight. As blows continue to land on both sides our heroine gets worn down and starts to get toyed with by the Iron Monster as it puts her in various painful stretches, looking to test the very limits of her heroism.
Candy is supremely tough however, and if anyone has the guts to handle the painful onslaught it is her. Can Candy defeat the Iron Drone and go after the Crown Prince? Or will she be just another one of his victims, another slave to his wicked desires?
Member Gift: Athena v Sebastian
This weeks member gift is from a season one Training Room encounter between Athena and Sebastian Luner. Athena is clad in gold for the first time and is pushed to the limit by the psychotic bad guy. So I really enjoyed this release but then again, I’m an easy person to please really. Give me some reason for the fight, have a battle, have the heroine suffer a fairly extensive physical beat down, have the actress sell the peril well, have quality lighting, good cinematography and you’ve got yourself a winner in my book. And this one is a winner. The concept is a pretty simple one here. Candy, the star actress and heroine, squares off against the Iron Drone who has taken the job of being personal body guard to The Crown Prince. No tricks. No… Read more »
Really late getting to watch this, and I totally agree with Darkwrath’s review above. On the surface, these combat-centric “Pure” episodes aren’t guaranteed hits for me, but both this one and the first one (with Wonderstrike) landed squarely in my corner. Candy Race does a great job suffering in the merciless hands of the monstrous Iron Drone. I’m pretty much repeating what Darkwrath writes, but watching the Drone do its worst with the utterly defenseless Equalizer is like… candy. She reminds me of Miss Freedom in the way she surrenders to crushing hugs and chokes, which is really high praise… Read more »
This is the first Equaliser story I’ve bought and on this showing it won’t be the last. In her pink costume and white boots she’s got a similar cuteness factor to Comet Girl and Virtue yet she has a more assured air to her than those two cuties. ‘Poised’ was the word that came to mind when she was walking down the stairs at the start of the video. The Equaliser is on the trail of ‘Prince’, is this the Crown Prince that we’ve heard so much about? If so his voice is very similar to the voice in ‘Bluebird… Read more »
How many knockouts are there? I’d really want to buy this if it is heavy on knockouts.
I didn’t keep count (and I’ve only watched this once so far) but there are lots of semi knock outs where The Equaliser is rendered semi concious by choke holds and face slaps (there are a shed-load of them!).
There’s one full knock out in the alternate end which is beautifully done.
Oh and I forget to say; there’s an ankle grab. I love an ankle grab!
Depends on what you might called a “knockout”. I tend to count fairly liberally with these things but there were definitely three, all varied and all caused by a different move set. There’s potentially one more where she ends up sliding down the body of the Drone but hard to state whether she’s knocked out or just semi-conscious. I will say that the last knockout she suffered in her alternative ending was great in my opinion. That’s where she ended up knocked out on the floor, seated and leaning against the leg of drone. The two camera angles we’re treated… Read more »
Damn! Just when i thought i was going to skip a release you put extra content from the video that made Athena a star and introduced the iconic golden goddess look
Well played NGC!
Words cannot begin to express how excited I am for this release. I’ve been waiting for her return for far too long.
And I have now watched the trailer and I’m even more amped for this than before.
