Not a Kevin Smith fan (his Flash season 2 episode was horrible), but I have started watching the Supergirl show, ok, skipped season 1, and I am in the middle of the second episode of season 2, but still. And call me crazy, but I like what I have seen so far. Very charming and I do like her and her outfit. To have the cape made of a leather look (or type) material makes is very sexy. And as I have pointed out: I am totally into how the CW and the showrunners are so unafraid to dig deep… Read more »

There’s an annoying pop/redirect that happens when I click on any internal link on heroinemovies.com. This is new as of today. It only happens the first time I navigate to the site in a new incognito browser. I’m sure there’s a cookie it leaves. Anyone else getting this?

The issue is gone for me today. You? Maybe HM found the problem and fixed it.

From the start, it has not been a perfect show. Some episodes better than others.
But when you consider all things like storytelling, Melissa as SG, acting, effects, peril and just pure sexiness, I think this show has been pretty awesome.
Cannot wait to see what happens tonight.
Hopefully Supergirl is gonna get it !

I thought the depiction of Clark Kent/Superman in the pilot was kind of neat. I didn’t expect much from the season premiere, but for the love of God PLEASE don’t keep Superman around, he’s a distraction and redundant and I just want more of Melissa Benoist/Supergirl!

I don’t post here cause in the past, when I did, whole pages of articles & comments got removed. So we’ll see what happens now. (kidding, I’m sure it wasn’t cause of me) Anyway, I just wanna say: Superman was in season 1 already. He’s already been a character in the Supergirl series. A poorly handled, bizarrely shot blurry face person. He rescued Supergirl once as that, and then also a voiceless chat buddy for Supergirl. That was a huge problem for season 1, cause it just came across as lame, a kludge that did not work at all. Having… Read more »

I might cry if they make her a damsel in distress to the point that some “man” has to come in and save her. I’m all for seeing her get her ass kicked, ironically, but let the girl save herself from peril. ^_^ Or even better, save Superman. 😉

Well, if he saves her early in the episode and she saves him at the end you’ll have covered the gamut of emotions, just like good storytelling should do!!

Is the idea that women can’t be saved my men because female viewers’ delicate psyche couldn’t handle that?

Come on guys! The show is called Supergirl. There’s a 0.0% chance the writers will let Superman overshadow Supergirl. From what we’ve seen from set pics and plot synopses, it seems pretty clear what will happen in the first two episodes and I think it looks great. Not only only great, but right up our alley. In ep 1 they introduce Superman and let everyone go gaga over him, and establish his relationship with Supergirl. In Ep 2 Supergirl fights Metallo and loses badly, gets rescued by Superman and has a crisis of confidence, flashing back to some of her… Read more »

Furthermore, the company isn’t going to risk the aggrieved cries of mysoginy. Superman will be a cameo, Supergirl will be the star.

No chip at all, just pointing out that the company will definitely be playing it safe. After all, look at season 1. But come on Paul, it’s “there” not “their”. Sixth grade English! 😉

Sorry to see this. Seems like the show’s producers have no faith that a Superheroine can carry this show off by herself so they need to inject Superman’s testoserone into the mix. I breathed a sigh of relief when it was announced the show was moving to the CW as I felt this was always where it belonged. I am afraid based on the addition of the Man of Steel that my euphoria was short-lived. Not a good move, in my opinion.

A bad show with a girl that all thou isn’t ugly by any means it totally forgettable. Now they try and pump it up with Superman forgetting soon it will be her again. Just let it die. It was a good idea so poor written and cast it has no chance at all. But I guess the CW is where bad shows come to live. Why who knows.

I literally had no interest in this show until I saw Superman would be in it. He doesn’t need to steal the show but he should be in it. It’s not like Superman has his own stuff everywhere. He has one movie that is current. One movie.

Will not hurt to have him here in the show.
